Wish All Insurance Worked this Well

Great experience with Healthy Paws. They respond right away, explain everything very clearly, and when you call--surprise!--a real person answers the phone. That person is friendly, helpful, and seems genuinely to care for our two dogs. Our vets all recommend Healthy Paws as the best of the best. I wish human insurance worked this well!

Very Impressed! Great Service prompt claim payment

Our 2 year old Shih tzu mix was super high energy and loved chasing the ball. One day at the park running for the ball her right rear leg just suddenly collapsed under her. We immediately took her to our vet who did xrays and said there were no broken bones but that there was a lot of movement in her knee joint. He suggested keeping quiet for 7 10 days to see if it got better. It did not so he referred us to a specialty vet in town. LVVSC http://lvvsc.com/ and they did a TPLO surgery on her. It has now been 10 days and she is doing amazingly well. The rehab is 12 weeks so we still have a long way to go. Our bill for the surgery was almost $3500. We had already met our deductible from the initial visit to our normal vet and we have now already received a check from HealthyPaws for 90% of the surgery charge. If only our personal insurances could be so easy to put in a claim and so fast to make a payment! We are VERY pleased to say the least. We did everything using the HealthyPaws app on Android and it was super easy. HealthyPaws insurance saved us from an expense we were not prepared for. We bought it when we first got her and it was obviously a great investment. They even checked in with us to see how Lola was doing ... a nice touch and not something we expected. :)

Peace of mind

We have carried this insurance for both of our pets for a few years now and are very pleased with the responsiveness of processing claims and providing reimbursements. The addition of being able to submit claims online made the process so much simpler! More recently, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was found to have a mass growing in her middle ear which explained the months of afflictions she has had. This included vomiting, loss of appetite, clumsiness, weakness in her facial muscles, and a head tilt. We would never have been able to continue with the multiple evaluations and tests she has had without Healthy Paws timely support. Ultimately our baby just completed surgery to remove the mass that went very successfully. She seems to finally be on the road to recovery and we can't be grateful enough to the people at Healthy Paws for being with us throughout this endeavor.

If You Own A Dog - Get Healthly Paws

We just filed out first claim with Healthy Paws and could not be more thrilled to have our pet insurance with them. My dog Wally began to vomit for an unknown reason one evening. After vomiting twice overnight and being inappetent the following day, we took him to our emergency clinic. GI scope, radiographs, thorough lab work, and an abdominal ultrasound later did not reveal the cause of his severe gastritis. He required two nights of hospitalization before he turned the corner. I can't explain how comforting it was to tell the ER and Internal Medicine specialists to "move forward" to save our dog knowing that 90% of our bill would be reimbursed. He has needed additional lab work to make sure his CBC abnormalities resolved and that will be covered as well. In ONE mystery illness, we have been reimbursed more than we would pay for one year of insurance for our three dogs. We actually got the insurance shortly after adopting a young lab/pit mix because I used to work in veterinary medicine and saw SO many cases of GI obstruction in young dogs with very sad endings. I never really imagined needing it for Wally, but it goes to show, anything can happen. If you own a dog, I highly recommend pet insurance, and Healthy Paws (in my opinion) is one of the best!

Healthy Paws-great insurance, great service, great customer service. Our Field Trial dog just had both elbows scoped on Monday for medial coronoid process. Today is Friday and claim is already paid. Wow! That's service. People at Healthy Paws are always polite and caring, a pleasure to talk to. Please consider insuring all your fur babies with Healthy Paws. We have 3 Labs and 1 Jack Russell covered by Healthy Paws and since this is my first time to make a claim, I know I am in the right paws with Healthy Paws.
