Healthy Paws is the best, paws down
"Free dog." Suuure! When our "free" 9-year-old dog Kibbie fell in January, he had to have a surgery to remove his tendons and ankle and replace them with a steel plate. This month, we found out that he also cracked two molars in that fall--one of which could be bonded, the other of which had to be removed. Total cost? Without Healthy Paws pet insurance, we would have paid about $7,500. With the plan we've got, including the $45 monthly charge for the insurance, we paid a $250 deductible, followed by 10%--$975 out of pocket for the healthcare (or $1,290 when you factor in the monthly costs of having the insurance, plus our cost for the care).
Savings so far this year: $6,210.
Thanks to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, Kibbie is healthy and happy and we are not broke.
