I highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Several years ago when our beautiful cat got ill, we spent over $7,000 in vet bills, trying to get him better. Unfortunately, he did pass away. It made me realize how important it is to insure your pets. While at the vet hospital, during Mowgli's illness, I saw people having to make tough decisions about their beloved pet, due to the high cost of treatment. I searched and believe I found an excellent insurance company with Healthy Paws. I have been insuring my two kitties with Healthy Paws ever since. I've never had a problem submitting a claim and have been reimbursed very quickly. They stand behind their policy and pay exactly what you sign up for (you can pick the deductible and the % you want reimbursed and pay accordingly). I am very happy with this insurance company. Their service is excellent.

Wisest idea ever of a responsible pet owner

While me and my fiance are still trying to get over the loss of our beloved kitten, I still want to express my gratitude towards and very positive experience with Healthy Paws. Obviously there are some diseases that just cannot be cured so even the best health insurance couldn't safe the life of our cat. But without insurance for her it simply wouldn't have been possible to even get a diagnosis. In fact it took several vet visits and expensive treatments like ultrasound and an explorative biopsy surgery to find out what exactly she had suffered from. It could have been anything really. During those very stressful last months Healthy Paws processed every single claim within a week. Submitting the claims is very easy andquick with the app. I also had a number of questions along the treatment phases because I wasn't always sure of they'd cover certain things (i.e. if specialists visits were covered etc.). I'm the kind of person who likes to double check and I am generally suspicious when it comes to insurance policies. I have to say that not only did they process each and every claim fast and without causing any issues they also kept in touch with us on her status. I still have their condolences card and I was really positively surprised at the fact that a great number of people (their whole team maybe?) found the time tosend us such a nice personal card. From their personable comments I couldreally tell that they themselves can relate to the experience of losing a beloved pet and also how much the companionship means to me/us. To sum it up: I am so glad that I decided to get my kitten health insurance. I've never done that before but as a responsible pet owner it's my responsibilty to malesure my pet gets the best treatment. I don't want to ever have to put a pet of mine to sleep simply because of money issues like so many people to. We did have to save up money and even borrow it for theexpensive surgery but we were able to pay it back within a week. Without Healthy Paws this wouldn't have been possible. I gladly paid $25 a month for making sure that my cat had better health coverage than a lot of people here in this country. It was the wisest decision ever and totally worth it. When the time comes we will have another cat and I will gladly sign her up again. And don't think it won't be neccessary. Anything can happen. My cat was super healthy all the time and came from a reputable breeder. Still she got sick. But at least I was prepared. P.S. Dear He

So thankful for healthy paws!

I was hesitant to sign up for pet insurance because I didn't want to pay a monthly fee but after frequent trips to the vet with my baby girl, I decided I better get it and I am so glad I did! Just 4 months after signing up for healthy paws pet insurance, my frenchie jumped off the bed and herniated a disc in her neck and was in immediate pain. I took her to the emergency specialty care center in my town. After meeting with the vet and hearing the care she was going to need and the cost, I cried! I emailed healthy paws about the services she would need (MRI, surgery, hospitalization) while I was still in the exam room and received and immediate caring response that based on her previous health history, it would all be covered! She had surgery on Tuesday, I took her home on Thursday and submitted my claim through the healthy paws app that evening. By Saturday, I had a response that my claim was completed and received a reimbursement check in the mail 3 days later! It was a painless process (for me anyway) and that monthly fee is worth every penny! Healthy paws is a great company and they really do care about your pet...they even reach out and check on your pet to make sure they are recovering well. After hearing of my experience with healthy paws, my parents are signing up their new puppy with them the moment they bring her home!

The Best of the Best!

I have to say that in all the years and all the searching, HealthyPaws pet insurance is the best. From the submitting claims to phone calls to emails and updates and sending out reimbursement checks - all is amazing. The best thing to do is get this when your puppy is young, I think under a year - not sure. Best coverage, no hassle, tells you like it is, upfront, personal and caring. You can probably tell I have had another insurance company that is the opposite- for my boy. I wish I could switch him. This is by far the best. I think they say from Nose to tail and everything in between! Awesome. No one comes close to the coverage and the cost. Don't waste your time and money anywhere else. Even covered my baby girl knee surgery! How amazing is that! But in everything else as well!

Saved our family...

Our silver lab, Koa, managed to get into a baby bag while we were at work. He opened and ate a few items to include baby food and a bottle of Advil. The bottle was not full, but we had no idea how many pills were in the bottle. We immediately took him to the Animal Hospital in a new state (we recently moved from Arizona to Virginia). Koa was admitted to the hospital for treatment after a consultation with the animal poison control. In all, Koa spent 8 days in the hospital on 24/7 IV fluids and medications for his gastrointestinal tract. I checked the Healthy Paws app and website to verify what I already knew: that his services would be covered. I had two conversations a day with the veterinarians administering Koa's treatment and the discussion often revolved around whether we could afford to keep Koa on the IV fluids until his laboratory results showed that the toxins had been eliminated from his system. This was a touchy subject for the veterinarians because the treatment was close to $1000 a day and while they wanted to recommend the continued treatment they realized that many people could not afford the treatment. I assured them that Koa was covered and that we would and could do anything medically necessary to give Koa the best chance to live a long and healthy life. I cannot emphasize enough the peace of mind that I had throughout this ordeal knowing that I could afford to give Koa the best chance to live a long and healthy life. I never once had to hesitate or look at alternatives to treatment. I first came to Healthy Paws when Koa was a puppy. I chose what I felt was the coverage I wanted at a price that I could afford. I have recommended them to other dog lovers since Koa was a puppy. This event has only strengthened my belief in the truly outstanding service that Healthy Paws provided, and I will continue to recommend them to everyone I know. Our final bill was $8000. I submitted the claim through my app before I even left the hospital, and I received the check in the mail with in 5 days to include a weekend. Koa is healthy, happy, and home with us, and I am not sure that would be the case without Healthy Paws. For our family, the peace of mind of knowing, without a doubt, that we could do anything medically necessary to keep our family member with us for as long as possible was immeasurable, and I have Healthy Paws to thank for that.
