Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws is absolutely amazing! I signed up both my Italian Greyhounds a little over a year ago. I initially debated on whether or not I should get insurance for them because both of them were healthy, but since I'm a teacher, I knew I couldn't afford large vet bills if they ever did become sick or injured. Thank God Almighty that I did! A few weeks ago, a mass was found in one of my dog's lungs. It needed to be removed and biopsied. Thank goodness she is Cancer free!! However, if she had not been, I would've had to figure out how to pay for Chemo and Radiation as well. My Shiloh is only 7 years young. :) If I had not had insurance for her, I would've been approximately $7,500 and that would not have included chemo and radiation. That was only for tests like xrays, CT scan, surgery, and a 2 day hospital stay following surgery. Having always had healthy pups, I never imagined that vet bills could be so increadibly high. Being a teacher, if I did not have Healthy Paws, I would've had to go through the heartache of knowing for a fact that I could not afford not even a quarter of that amount for her care. I would've felt guilty for the rest of my life knowing that I was not able to provide proper care for her. Thank goodness for Healthy Paws! Healthy Paws processed my claims so very quickly! I submitted them right under a minute right online. I couldn't believe how easy it was! I also received their checks in the mail very quickly as well. They truly have been with me every step of the way. They will be there every step of the way for you too. They truly mean what they say. By the way, if you email them about a question you may have, they get back to you sometimes within minutes. Really?!? Wow! They even sent me an email today asking me how my little girl was feeling after her major surgery (one of her lung lobes had to be removed,,, incision is 8 inches long... that's HUGE for a 22 lb dog). If you are debating on whether or not to get insuramce for your pups or cat or which company you should go with, do it and trust no one else but Healthy Paws. They are worth every single penny to have them by your side. Healthy Paws... you're the best!!Thank you so much for the kindness and concern you have shown both me and my Shiloh! Our 4 year lab grew cataracts overnight in her right eye, causing blindness within a short week. Her left eye had a small cataract blooming and we were off to the eye doctor for immediate help to ensure we were getting the best care for her. Her eye doctor determined she was a good candidate for cataract surgery and when I called Healthy Paws to make sure it was covered,since it was a big surgery for both eyes, and they assured me that anything related to the diagnostic, medication, surgery and follow up/maintenance care would all be covered in her policy - minus our portion. Her Pre-op claim was submitted on 8/5, processed/paid on 8/9. Her surgery claim was submitted on 8/9, processed and paid on 8/9. With an accumulated charege over $4700, I am being reimbursed $4200 of it - and that is only because our annual deductible is due.. outstanding!! I don't think i have ever waited longer than 4 days to receive a check - the turn around is that fast. Whether the vet submits or I submit online myself, Healthy Paws communicates every process from claim received, claim in process and finally the EOB. Outstanding! If there are any questions about reimbursement that aren't already readily available on the EOB, the service folks are always willing to assist and perform their duties with skill, knowledge and personality! You actually speak to a person with compassion and understanding and kindness! They take the financial worry out of our vet care and allow us to make sure our babies have every option available to them, no matter the injury or illness. It is so nice to get an email from a claims person making sure that our baby is ok after processing a claim. An actual inquiry, like they know us! Personalized service, excellent coverage, outstanding turnaround - I don't think there are enough words to express how fortunate we are to have HP coverage...truly, awesome !!

We signed up with Healthy Paws right after adopting our dog. She's a ball of energy so her vet recommended that we get insurance. We're so glad that we did! She ruptured her ACL and needed surgery. Surgery for dogs is expensive! Healthy Paws did not give us the run around or try to deny coverage and processed our claim quickly. Their website is pretty clear about what is covered and their cusomer service agents are very knowledgable. I have their iphone app and it makes filing claims easy. Even after paying the claim, a Healhy Paws representative emailed us to make sure our little girl was recovering well.

There is only Healthy Paws for my Shar Pei. There is not any other Pet Insurance plan like it. I can't say enough about this group of people that just plain care about you and most of all your pet. From the first day I got my Shar Pei, I have count less visits to the Vet, the Dermatologist, the ER and even the Surgeon. All along the these times, Health Paws was there to help. On my most recent visit to the Visit, I filed the claim at 5am and by 11am they had already processed and paid the claim for over $2800.00. In this day and age there is no other Insurance Company like Healthy Paws.

My little dog was having seizures. After running several test, they found that he had a shunt that was causing his blood to NOT go thru his liver to be cleaned. The toxins from his blood were causing the seizures. They were able to go in & put a divice around the shunt, that will eventually swell & close the shunt. Pretty major stuff & I'm no Dr. But all his Dr's were wonderful & I have never had pet insurance before, I have spent thousands in the past on other pets. I am so thankful for Healthy Paws, they paid on the claims immediately, they have been fantastic!!!! I highly recommend this pet insurance! They have been so wonderful & really seem to care. I'm telling all my friends with animals & recommend they sign up!!
