Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

RIPOFF! I've been paying this policy religiously for two pets for several years. They've made thousands off of me. When one of my pets needed surgery, I had to fork out thousands. The process took a ridiculously long time and I was only reimbursed less than 15% of what I had to spend. So if I had to spend $10,000, I was reimbursed less than $1500. This charge couldn't be included. That charge can't be included! I worked hard for the money I paid to them to make sure my pets were covered. And when a crisis hit, I feel like I was really taken advantage of. Not happy! Stay away unless you want to be taken for a fool!

We have had Healthy Paws for both of our German shepherds since they were 8 weeks old. One of them has severe allergies and has had multiple other health problems including a recent torn ACL requiring major surgery. Healthy Paws has always covered everything and been incredibly fast and easy to use. We submit claims using the app on our phone and have a check within a few days. No hoops to jump through and zero hassles. We tell everyone we know with pets about Healthy Paws. Highly recommend without any reservation!

When my normally healthy dog became ill, it was a stressful time, both emotionally and financially. It was a relief to have Healthy Paws insurance. Submitting a claim was easy (just take a photo of the bill and upload to their site), and it was handled quickly without any hassle over procedures or costs. I will definitely recommend Healthy Paws to my friends and family who are pet-parents.

I've lost hundreds of dollars in premiums for "coverage" before finding out that Healthy Paws doesn't really cover much of anything. Signed up after seeing their deceptive sales and marketing material and website, imagining that normal things (exam to see if something was wrong with my dog, heartworm exam, rabies vaccinations, etc.) were not covered. NONE OF IT!!! Yes, when you receive the welcome email for being a new member, there is a small link at the BOTTOM of the email stating that you can optionally click to check other information on the EXTENSIVE list of exclusions. Do NOT purchase this "insurance" if you have any expectation of coverage for normal care. (Though they do seem to cover accidents) Otherwise, you are just going to be sending money to their premium collection service (really hard to even call this insurance!!!) I am also going to be tagging other reviews here. Not spamming, but I think people should know the truth about Healthy Paws. I see AT LEAST dozens (if not 100+?) of other customers of Healthy Paws that have written of the same experience, having been tricked by deceptive business practices here

I cannot recommend Healthy Paws more highly. We had only been a customer for a little over a year when our dog, Ruger, got loose and injured both of his knees. Turns out the big guy tore BOTH of his CCLs and needed surgery on each leg. Healthy Paws was right there with us and processed our claims before the credit card payments were even due. Incredible insurance, incredible customer service. And follow up emails to check on our furchild! Who does that?
