Healthy Paws has a different approach from the other companies I looked at. Most companies will have a catalogue of types of injuries, caps on reimbursement, and deductibles. It was very complicated and confusing. Healthy Paws was simple. If it is an expected expense (vaccines, fixing, or mandatory check ups) they do not help. But, anything unexpected, no caps or restrictions, there is coverage.
My puppy Loic broke his leg, and the vet told me if he did not have $4,500 surgery, he would most likely not be able to walk on his back hind leg. Having insurance is one thing. However, having Healthy Paws is completely different. I called them and spoke with Ryan, and he was in constant email contact with me helping me to get the claim filed. I simply had to send them scans of the invoices, and within a week, I had a reimbursement check in the mail. They kept me updated every step of the way.
To put the cherry on top, I received an email after all was said and done which simply inquired about how well Loic was recovering from his surgery. Really made me feel like they cared about Loic and my wellbeing.

Healthy Paws insurance review - great company!
When we got our puppy we were unsure about insurance. However, I did lots of on line research and decided on Healthy Paws. What a wonderful decision. Healthy Paws is (because we are currently working on a claim) doing everything to quicken our claim process. Also, the fact that members of the Healthy Paws program are emailing to check on the progress of our Mowgli is so nice. This personal touch is thoughtful and reassuring. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is looking for pet insurance.

Coco is still with us and so is Healthy Paw
Eighteen months after we were told she had 2 months to live, Coco lives on. Healthy Paws pet insurance has been with us every step of the way. I wrote a review after the first few months of expensive surgery and chemo treatments. I was very pleased with HP then and you can only imagine what I think of them after 18 months of prompt reimbursement and really caring people on the other end of the phone or emails. I even received a personal phone call phone the President of their company, showing concern and assurances his company would continue to be there for us. Because, with the help of Healthypaws, coco is still alive, still happy and still energetic, even though the cancer is still with her. The ongoing treatments are keeping it in check but her treatments will continue for as long as she lives. I believe also, that Healthypaws will be with us too.

I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for my dog Russell for three years. The service I have received from them over this period has been top notch. Fast claims, friendly staff and no questions asked handling of my claims. The last check that I received from healthy Paws was for over $9000. Outstanding service and response
We will never be without Healthy Paws pet insurance for our dogs. Such a comfort to know we can give our pets the best care. Have had 3 claims and, as promised, they are quick to respond and take care of the claims.
$15 – $90, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $100, $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
