9 month old yellow lab benefits from surgery

We were so happy with Healthy Paws when our purebred yellow lab puppy was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia, requiring arthroscopic surgery on both elbows. He had been limping since he was 5 1/2 months. (Both parents had been OFA certified for hips and elbows so he was just very unlucky). The surgery revealed he had fragmented coronoid process on both elbows. The vets at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego took the best care of him, and having Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was a godsend. They processed our claim quickly and the follow up was terrific. Cannot say enough good things about our decision to get their insurance with this puppy, given this very unexpected health issue with our pup. He is recovering nicely and will hopefully have a more comfortable life ahead since we were able to do the surgery.

Amazing service

I was away on holiday in Greece and found out that my cat Tommy had swallowed some wire string and needed emergency surgery. The surgery was successful and they got there in the nick of time. Luckily I had Healthy Paws pet insurance (the highest I could get). My bill was $4150 with $500 for a two night stay. Healthy Paws mailed me back a cheque for $3860 no questions asked. All I had to do was send them a copy of the invoice on their app. It was that simple!! Honestly, I am so very grateful for enrolling with this program while my cats are young. I never thought I would have to use it so soon. It gives me peace of mind. Thank you Healthy Paws!!

They are the best!

I brought our Frenchie Gronk, home when he was four months old. Knowing that Frenchies sometimes have health issues, I researched pet insurance companies for two months, settling on HealthyPaws due to the customer reviews and their ratings. Little did I know that five months later, he would have to have cherry eye, nares, and soft palate surgery done. All three were taken care of in one day, and his neuter was done along with them--to the tune of about $3,000. Not knowing what to expect as a first-time client, I submitted the claims and within 10 days, had the reimbursement for all of his care (less the neuter which I knew was not covered) and his after care drugs taken care of. The HP folks were wonderful and I have had to use them on an ongoing basks for allergies which he developed. If I had not had this coverage, I don't think I could have kept my boy. You always hope that you will not need the coverage, but are extremely grateful when you know it is there. I have continually recommended HP to everyone I know who has pets and who are adopting pets. You just never know. Oh and also....their customer service is the BEST. Whenever I have a question, I send along and email and it is often answered within two hours. You will never have that turnaround time with a human insurance company! They are the type of company that you wish you worked for! Thank you HP!

We love our Healthy Paws!

When I first got pet insurance for our Golden Retriever, people thought I was silly. However, after a trip to the emergency department with him and no insurance, I didn't want to risk it. We signed up when Lutsen was a year and a half old and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This past July, he was diagnosed with severe hip displasia and we were devastated. Having enrolled in Healthy Paws over 3 years ago, meant his surgery and all things involving his care would be covered based on the plan we chose. It was such a relief to know I didn't have to worry about paying out of pocket for everything which amounted to thousands! They even emailed a week after Lutsen's surgery just to see how he was doing. I was so impressed!! As for payments, I was reimbursed within a week and every single time I called their customer service department, I was well taken care of. Not only is this a fantastic company, with their prompt response to my and Lutsen's needs, but the people they hire are the nicest and the most knowledgable and well trained individuals I've ever worked with. I could go on and on about how wonderful of a decision you are making by trusting your pet's care with Healthy Paws but you most certainly should try them yourself!

Great customer service and quick claim servicing

My entire experience with Healthy Paws was so incredibly positive. We had a scare with our mini doxie requiring emergency surgery, and when I called to clarify some billing/logistical issues, the rep I spoke with reassured me that the most important thing was our dog's health. It was so reassuring to hear that at the time. All three of her emergency room claims were paid very quickly and I could not be happier with their customer support and compassion!
