ER Neck Surgery for my Boston

I've had my Boston since he was 10 weeks old and shortly obtained Healthy Paws after getting him. Oliver turned 5 years in October 2016 and just a couple weeks later showed concerning and painful behavior. I took him to his regular vet for diagnosis, an emergency vet the next day and then another emergency vet the third day on a Saturday for an emergency MRI that required immediate neck surgery for ruptured discs in his neck. Almost $7,000 for the 3 days of treatment. Although most of us would do anything for our pals, knowing I had HP allowed me without hesitation to tell the docs to do whatever they needed to do to treat him. Some people wouldn't be able to. This was not my first claim, and each time the staff is very expedient in their claim processing and per my contract I am reimbursed exactly what is expected. The staff also follow up to see how recovery is going. Ollie is now doing amazing and back to his happy Boston self. My advice, get a quote and do a little math. It's then really an easy and intelligent decision.

FANTASTIC

The best experience. Working with Healthy Paws has been not just easy, but a joy. The entire process is clear, refined, fast and empathetic. The follow up email checking on our dog was a delightful surprise.Everything was transparent and happened just as described and expected.

15000 $ bills - paid ZERO

Our beloved Lab puppy had a Coccidia infection which caused an intussusception. That was in the waiting period so they didn't pay anything for treatment - that's ok.After that, she needed two more surgeries and a lot of medication due to 2 intussusceptions (in other parts of her intestant, and not connected to Coccidia). They declined to pay anything because they say it's all related to the Coccidia infection and so in the waiting period and so - Zero. We asked them for a review what they did through their "third-part vet". This vet stated the same, which we knew before as these vets are biased (they are paid by the insurance company). We offered a review by a "real" third-party vet at our expense which they declined. They are extremly customer-unfriendly (not responding to emails, not providing details, and so on). They never wanted to pay anything right from the beginning. We are almost broke now. The worst insurance company I ever had to deal with (and I work in the insurance business, btw). Sad but true.

Sign up for Healthy Paws NOW!

I am SO thankful that I got Healthy Paws Pet Insurance when we got our dog. My dog has gotten sick a few times (nothing major), but it was nice to have the tests and medicine covered. Recently, my dog was attacked while out on his morning walk. It was a major wound that needed 2 surgeries. The total of all my animal hospital bills quickly added up to $5,000 and boy am I SO GLAD that I have Healthy Paws. They covered $4,200 of the bills!!! Imagine your pet being innocently attacked and needing medical attention. Think about what a relief it would be to: 1. be able to get the medical attention your pet needs and 2. have most of the bill covered by insurance Keep in mind that if an accident is the fault of another persons animal, the other party is not legally obligated to pay the bill. Healthy Paws is 100% worth getting. SIGN UP TODAY!

Healthy Paws is the best for our four dogs!

We've been a "Healthy Paws" customer for about three years. We have four dogs insured. There have been several occasions we've had to file claims for our dogs and we've always been taken care of promptly. We've never disagreed with Healthy Paws reimbursement of any of our claims. The latest claim has totaled close to $6,000 . Our reimbursement for these claims were all handled within a couple of days and reimbursed to policy agreements of close to $5,000 in checks back to us. One of our smallest dogs was seem by our primary care vet with recommendations for further diagnostic tests, including ultrasound. He was admitted to our local emergency hospital, discharged and transferred on to NC State for further 24/7 care. The total hospitalization was 6 days. Our "Boogie" has pancreatitis along with some other underlying issues that we're still working on. We highly recommend Heathy Paws to all of our friends and family. For people that are close enough to their pets that they're part of the family.....believe me when I say, if your beloved "furbaby" gets really sick, it will break your heart if you don't have the financial means to provide required medical attention. It's at times like this we are so thankful that Healthy Paws was there for us. Before we chose Healthy Paws, I extensively researched several health insurance plans. Healthy Paws provided the most benefits for our "four legged hairy children", with the lowest cost for the benefits we have. If you don't currently have pet health insurance, I highly recommend Healthy Paws. Thank you Healthy Paws for being there for us- even checking up on our pet.
