Excellent insurance. Chose an 80/20 plan with a $250 deductible. A very clear and easy to use process with a phone app. We recently needed to use it for one of our labs who ruptured both ACLs. We were able to get both knees repaired and I can't recommend them enough. Claims submitted once, and payment is on its way. A great customer service line and even a note asking how Stella was doing.

My pet has better health insurance than I do!
We purchased Healthy Paws pet insurance for our 3-month old labradoodle three years ago. Little did we know at that time what a wise decision we had made! At four months old, our puppy began having seizures. After an MRI and spinal tap, she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Seizures. After these tests and a two-day stay in the hospital, you can imagine what the bill was! We submitted our claim to Healthy Paws and within a few days, received an email from Healthy Paws regarding the status of our claim and the process for viewing it online. In addition, a reimbursement check was quickly sent to us by mail. Because of our dog's seizures, she takes eight pills a day. We submit our monthly prescription receipts and within a week, we have our reimbursement checks. Unfortunately, our also dog developed Irritable Bowel Disease, and again, Healthy Paws was there for us. The company has never questioned one of our claims, but instead, sends emails stating that they hope our dog is feeling better! Healthy Paws also has an App that makes it so easy to submit claims. We take a picture of the bill, submit it throught the App on our iPhone,, and within a week, a reimbursment check is in our mailbox. Healthy Paws is an amazing company and truly cares about the health of all animals. The truth is, our dog does have better health insurance coverage than we do! We have friends who have gone with other companies for their pet's health insurance and their coverage doesn't come close to Healthy Pets. We give this company our highest possible recommendation and rating.

They made the entire process so easy
HealthyPaws makes it so easy to submit and process claims. I had my dog insured by another company prior to HealthyPaws and that company was not fun to deal with. They made the process so difficult to submit or file claims that I became discouraged and just stopped doing it. All of the headache and roadblocks they would throw at me to get a claim paid for or even to just file one would be just be a giant pain to go through. I would like to add that HealthyPaws was very quick with their responses to the claim I recently submitted for my dog. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

Best Pet Insurance Company
Healthy Paws is the best Pet Insurance on the market today. The coverage is excellent, the staff are responsive to questions and the turn around time for claims is remarkably quick. I unqualifiedly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who is looking for Pet Insurance. No one wants to be a position of not being able to not provide live saving or pain management care for their pet. Healthy Paws gives you the assurance that you will not be in that position.

Beyond Grateful
I have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for over a year for my now two year old fur-baby. She is truly the apple of my eye. Unfortunately she was recently treated for anemia due to bone marrow failure because of over vaccinations. While struggling with taking time off of work to get blood transfusions, animal ER visits and tests and more animal ER visits and more tests. This was mentally, emotionally and physically draining. Knowing that she had health insurance gave me the peace of mind knowing that I can and will do everything in my power to save her life. I am happy to report that she is on the road to recovery. Without insurance I would have paid a total of $5,111.80 and still counting. Since I have Healthy Paws I am only paying $1,426.09. My claims are processed usually within 24 hours and they have a wonderful app where you don't need to submit a claim form! Take a picture of the invoice and submit! Less than a few days later the claim is processed, completed and a check is in the mail. Going through Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has truly saved my dogs life, my sanity and last but not least my wallet! Don't be foolish when it comes to your loved fur-babies, anything can happen at anytime and if you're like me you will do anything in your power to save them.

Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
