Beyond Grateful

I have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for over a year for my now two year old fur-baby. She is truly the apple of my eye. Unfortunately she was recently treated for anemia due to bone marrow failure because of over vaccinations. While struggling with taking time off of work to get blood transfusions, animal ER visits and tests and more animal ER visits and more tests. This was mentally, emotionally and physically draining. Knowing that she had health insurance gave me the peace of mind knowing that I can and will do everything in my power to save her life. I am happy to report that she is on the road to recovery. Without insurance I would have paid a total of $5,111.80 and still counting. Since I have Healthy Paws I am only paying $1,426.09. My claims are processed usually within 24 hours and they have a wonderful app where you don't need to submit a claim form! Take a picture of the invoice and submit! Less than a few days later the claim is processed, completed and a check is in the mail. Going through Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has truly saved my dogs life, my sanity and last but not least my wallet! Don't be foolish when it comes to your loved fur-babies, anything can happen at anytime and if you're like me you will do anything in your power to save them.

Amazing - Healthy Paws!

My puppy boxer of 9 months had a sneezing attack with discharge coming out of one nostril. We went to the vet and they did a scope to find nothing but completely swollen. We then went to a specialist who performed a more comprehensive scope plus a cat scan. Healthy Paws exceeded my expectations. Not only did the pay the full amount due (over $3,000) but they did without questioning it and processed within one day! Their customer service team is top notch - very friendly, knowledgeable and lovely demeanor on the phone. I would wholeheartedly recommend them!

Healthy Paws Delivers with Integrity & Compassion

My 5 year old Black Lab, Jack, developed a tumor around one of his bottom canines, which turned out to be squamish cell carcinoma. In a 6-week period, Jack and I went from our normal daily routine of walks, playing fetch, rolling around and play wrestling, to a whirlwind of surgeries, recovery from them, follow-ups, and appointments with specialists including 2 oral surgeons and an oncologist. Jack had to undergo a total of 3 surgeries to successfully remove all of the cancer and patch up some scar tissue where stitches had broken. Jack's bottom jaw from behind the canines foward had to be removed. His pain was excruciating at times, and it was a difficult recovery. When all was said and done, his medical bills exceeded $7,000. When Jack came to live with me, I knew I wanted to have insurance for him. I did a lot of research into the various pet insurance providers, and in the end I went with Healthy Paws, in large part because of reviews like this. It turns out to have been the correct choice. Through out the entire 6-week journey from cancer to a well dog, every single claim I uploaded to Healthy Paws was paid promptly according to the policy I chose, which was 80% reimbursement with a $250 deductible. There was no quibbling about what would be paid and what wouldn't. From the very simple process of uploading a scan of each bill, to their emailed progress reports, to getting the check in the mail, the Healthy Paws claims process ran flawlessly. I was able to have money in the bank to cover the credit card charges for each surgery. I've gotten numerous emails from support personnel at Healthy Paws asking about Jack and and expressing pleasure at his recovery. These emails went well beyond the normal scripted responses one normally gets from businesses. These were genuine messages from men and women who signed their emails with their names and the names of their own pets. They knew what we were going through, and how difficult it was for both of us. They cared. Reviews were an important part of my research when I chose Healthy Paws. If this review helps someone else find their way to Healthy Paws, I will have done a good deed and paid it forward. Paul & Jack

Outstanding Health Coverage

If I could give Healthy Paws 10 stars out of 10 I would. Hands down this is the best and most affordable health coverage you can get for your dog. I have had two of the other health insurance companies in years past and found them difficult to work with, lacking in coverage and customer service. Then I got my German Shorthair Pointers and was determined to do my due diligence and get the best coverage I could because customer service is extremely important to me. All the reviews pointed to Healthy Paws and so I went with them. I am certainly glad I did since my dogs are my kids and since they are highly trained hunting dogs. When Duchess got sick from a sudden illness I rushed her to the vet who immediately ordered a battery of tests and referred us to a specialist. Being vey concerned about her condition i decided to proceed with the recommended treatment plan forgetting I even had health coverage at first. After what seemed like a never ending barrage of tests and procedures they got her under control and stabilized. She is making excellent progress now. But throughout the ordeal I simply submitted the invoices via the convenient app on my iPhone and was delighted to receive emails from healthy paws within a few days indicating my claims were covered with checks on the way. I couldn't be happier about Duchess slowly making a good recovery from what appears to be some sort of autoimmune disease which they have not yet determined. But Healthy Paws was there for us when we needed them. Don't go with another company. Do your dog and yourself a favor and buy Healthy paws right away.Best coverage around.

Best Pet Insurance Choice

I would highly recommend Health Paws to anyone looking for affordable pet insurance. I've dealt with other companies in the past. When I received huge premium increases from the company I used for 7 years (since he was a puppy), I started looking for another option. Health Paws is by far the best deal. They have very few limitations on what is covered, offer many policy options so you find the right policy for your budget, and have been super friendly during claims. I just recently had to make the decision to have my Tyler's eye removed due to Glaucoma. Even though husky's are prone to that, it was still covered. The previous company I used didn't cover hereditary conditions. They answered all my questions promptly throughout the process. They covered the ER charges when his eye was swollen, meds and a few procedures to try to get it under control and ultimately the surgery and recovery costs when that was needed as well. The rep was even kind enough to review my surgery quotes and help me decide which procedure I should go with. After the surgery, I emailed her the invoice. The claim was literally processed in less than an hour since she had already seen the quote. It was such a relief to know when those bills were coming in, that I could concentrate on my pups care. Best decision I made switching to Healthy Paws.
