Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

After losing my cats of 22 and 23 to kidney/heart disease, a little kitten Sophia conned her way into my home with a personality I couldn't resist. A friend recommended Healthy Paws, and even though Sophia was just a kitten.. I went ahead and signed up even though I thought "What could really go wrong?" ..Well, she ate 3 hair elastics, and later developed breathing/other issues(..Two separate incidents). Without Healthy Paws, I don't know where I would be. We still don't know what's wrong with Sophia, but I can take her to the vet and specialists and have them run tests without worrying about the huge expenses. Yes, I still have to pay the vet exam fees (which can be steep! So take that into consideration) But I don't have to turn down an exam, test or medication due to fear of expense. The customer support is fantastic: friendly, readily available and helpful. Claims are easy to submit and reviewed within a few days. I am extremely thankful that I signed up, or else I would be in a much more financially stressful situation at this time.

Healthy Paws is the bet pet insurance company that I have ever dealt with. The are great communicators and pay very quickly. I have never had a problem with them paying for something that was covered.

My dogs have been covered by Healthy Paws for 5 years. My dog Enzo recently underwent emergency back surgery for a spinal cord compression injury. Having your beloved pet injured is devastating and most people are not prepared for a bill in excess of $6500. I had the comfort of knowing that Healthy Paws would provide exceptional coverage and there would be no hoops to jump thru. The reimbursement process is amazingly easy and the claim was processed within days. If Enzo should need Physical Therapy, those services will be covered too, not something often covered by Pet Insurance. Thank you Healthy Paws for all you do for our pets!!

Our AB mix had to have an emergency splenectomy in the early hours of a sunday morning. Thank god for healthy paws! Once they received the claim (we used the app and love it) it was processed and we received a check a few days later for 80% of the vet bill. THEN a week after Fitzgerald got home we received and email from them checking on how his recovery was going. That is customer service and people who care, I was already a happy customer but that sealed the deal. I recommend them to everyone I know who has a pet. I am so thankful for healthy paws.

Simply snap a photo of the bill, upload it through the app and hit submit. The plan is very affordable and extremely clear about what is covered and what isn't. They even sent a follow email to see how Penny was recovering :) This company truly understands the relationship between people and their pets. I would highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet parent - they are the best!
