no reservations, would recommend this company

ive had dogs in my life for more than 30 years and never had health insurance for any of them. then we got eli, a french bulldog, and i did no research about them before we fell in love. well, seems like french bulldogs seem to have allergies. good thing we got healthy paws pet insurance because after 3 years of owning eli, his allergies popped up. i can honestly say, without blinking an eye, that every single person i have dealt with at healthy paws has been kind, compassionate, understanding and took the time to explain every single question i had. and i had many. they were patient as well and i would easily recommend healthy paws to anyone interested in pet insurance. sincerely betty nicholson

BEST INSURANCE OUT THERE TRIED THEM ALL

First off let me just start by saying I did absolutely the most research a human could possibly do before buying pet insurance for our new pup because we had such an awful experience with our first dog we switched companies about five times and we tried every company "highly recommended" by our vets and everyone out there! They were awful! They had horrible customer service, we were forced into situations where we were basically negotiating how much we would actually get paid having to call and submit documents after documents a million things not covered ect. Within a month of having Healthy Paws for Elsa she was attacked a dog park she couldn't walk and we rushed her in to the vet turns out she had a condition called luxating patella her tendon basically came off of her bone gross! They did emergency surgery that same day and it was $3000 we file the claim and within three days it was approved and we had a check in the mail two days later! The check was $2600!! They had covered 2700 and took the 100 deductible off of the top so we didn't have to pay it out of pocket up front and that deductible was an entire years deductible! Not a per incident deductible like most companies! That became very important when four months later she lost the use of her other leg and had to have the same emergency servers just on the other side !! Insane ! That time the bill was $3300 and they covered almost $2900 talk about saving the bank account haha I would have purchased a new car basically if I would have had to pay out of pocket not to mention they cover all of the medications in between! They have a simple turn key app you take pictures of your claim and boom you're done! It's amazing ! Simple and stress free! Best pet insurance out there! Don't be fooled by companies that raise their rates to cover your "wellness" exams most of that is bologna and cheese and if they cover the exams chances are they cover a lot less on the really expensive stuff ! Get a wellness plan through your vet for the exams and get healthy paws for their health coverage! I recommend to EVERYONE!!

We are so thankful for Healthy Paws!!

Tucker Boy came to live with our family in April 2016. He is a miniature Australian Shepherd. We got him insured with Healthy Paws Insurance in May 2016. In June he ate a piece of a Sago Palm seed we had to rush him to the vet and they had to pump his stomach and treat him for poisoning. I will never forget when we got home I called Healthy Paws customer service to see if this was something that they would cover? And the kind lady on the phone told me "That is exactly what we are here for" I just felt the worry and weight lifted from my shoulders. In July he started to have seizures almost weekly so we had the MDR1 gene mutation test done on him and yes Healthy Paws covered the cost because he was having the seizures. We took him to see Neurology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine Specialists. Unfortunately all they came up with is that he has Idiopathic Epilepsy and hopefully it is Juvenile and he out grows it, but meantime he is on Keppra every 8 hours. And yes Healthy Paws covered all the visits, tests and medications. Mid November he started having diarrhea, high fever and very lethargic so we took him to the ER and he was in ICU for 3 days being treated and test ran. They got him better. Unfortunately in February he started having the exact same symptoms as in November so back to the ER we go and they kept him there for 4 days in ICU. And yes Healthy Paws covered all our visits and tests once again. Our little man is feeling better but still not out of the woods just yet. We take him in today for endoscopy/colonoscopy procedures and hopefully those test will be able to let us know why he is having all the intestinal issues/infections and we will be able to treat them properly so he can be a happy little boy again. So fare all they know is that his body is not absorbing B-12 which we have to give him shots for that. This past year has been quite an emotional and financial Roller Coaster Ride for our family and I can honestly say that the ride has been much easier to take knowing that Healthy Paws is in the seat riding with us all the way. In the first year of Tucker Boy's life we have already spent 16 thousand dollars and Healthy Paws has covered 80% of it per our plan we chose. My husband and I don't have children, our babies have 4 legs, and we will always have babies therefore we will always have Healthy Paws as our Insurance carrier for them. We can not thank Healthy Paws enough. Sincerely Dee

#1 Pet Insurance

I used to have another pet insurance with another company and Healthy Paws is definitely much better. It is affordable. I love the unlimited lifetime coverage. A 90% deductible is the highest deductible I have seen compare to other pet insurance. Submitting claims is super easy and I get my reimbursement check(s) right away. Although I wish they would cover preventative services as well (i.e. vaccinations, etc.) I still highly reccommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance to anyone looking for insurance for their furbabies.

Best Pet Insurance

Healthy Paws are amazing! I have two small dogs insured through them. I have taken them to the ER a few times and Healthy Paws were always quick with reimbursing us for the hospital fees. Their app is amazing too. I don't need to use a computer to file a claim, just take a picture of the paperwork and upload the pics on their app. We are also please with their customer service, they are polite, genuine and really shows concern for your beloved pets. We are very glad and satisfied that we chose Healthy Paws over any other pet insurance.
