Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Investing in pet insurance with Healthy Paws is the 2nd smartest decision we've made since becoming parents to our Golden Retriever (2nd only to getting our baby in the 1st place!) We did research on the top 5 Pet Insurance companies and ultimately decided that Healthy Paws was the right choice for us. Thank God we did! After 6 wonderful and healthy years our sweet boy was diagnosed with cancer. He met with the top specialists, had 2 surgeries and is in the process of beginning Radiation Therapy in the next week or so. With all of the tears, sleepless nights, recovery from both surgeries, etc... there was a lot of anxiety and fear within our family. With Healthy Paws we have been able to focus all of our energy and strength into helping our baby recover and making the right choices for his treatment rather than worry about the financials. In such a stressful time, the last thing anyone needs to worry about is how you're going to pay for treatment, or even worse, have to decline life-saving treatment simply because you can't afford it. I had been a customer of Healthy Paws Pet insurance for only three months when my puppy Lili, while playing with her sister, suffered a serious injury to her left hind leg requiring the surgical reattachment of her patella. Excellent insurance. Chose an 80/20 plan with a $250 deductible. A very clear and easy to use process with a phone app. We recently needed to use it for one of our labs who ruptured both ACLs. We were able to get both knees repaired and I can't recommend them enough. Claims submitted once, and payment is on its way. A great customer service line and even a note asking how Stella was doing.

We purchased Healthy Paws pet insurance for our 3-month old labradoodle three years ago. Little did we know at that time what a wise decision we had made! At four months old, our puppy began having seizures. After an MRI and spinal tap, she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Seizures. After these tests and a two-day stay in the hospital, you can imagine what the bill was! We submitted our claim to Healthy Paws and within a few days, received an email from Healthy Paws regarding the status of our claim and the process for viewing it online. In addition, a reimbursement check was quickly sent to us by mail. Because of our dog's seizures, she takes eight pills a day. We submit our monthly prescription receipts and within a week, we have our reimbursement checks. Unfortunately, our also dog developed Irritable Bowel Disease, and again, Healthy Paws was there for us. The company has never questioned one of our claims, but instead, sends emails stating that they hope our dog is feeling better! Healthy Paws also has an App that makes it so easy to submit claims. We take a picture of the bill, submit it throught the App on our iPhone,, and within a week, a reimbursment check is in our mailbox. Healthy Paws is an amazing company and truly cares about the health of all animals. The truth is, our dog does have better health insurance coverage than we do! We have friends who have gone with other companies for their pet's health insurance and their coverage doesn't come close to Healthy Pets. We give this company our highest possible recommendation and rating.
