If you're considering pet insurance...

This is coming from someone who never had experience with pet insurance before so this process was new to me. Come on, pet insurance? Really? Growing up, who would've thought pet insurance was a thing. Well, it is a thing and I highly suggest looking into it if you haven't already. I got a 4 year-old pug at the beginning of the year from someone who couldn't care for her anymore. She was not spayed and didn't have any records of shots or anything. I kept asking and the family basically disappeared on us. Well I took it upon myself to make sure she was set. Got a checkup, shots and had her fixed. After a long debate (with myself) I decided to look into pet insurance. Asked around and did extensive research online. I ended up with Healthy Paws and I'm glad I did. This company and another company were in the top running. Price was ultimately what beat out the competition. With that said, a few weeks ago I came across a bump growing on my little puggy and had her taken in. Vet suggested for a removal and a test. This was an expensive surgery (well expensive for me). I contacted Healthy Paws to see if it was covered. It was, but because it was her first claim the vet had to get her records. This is to make sure it’s not a pre-existing condition. Since I had her checked when I got her I knew it was not pre-existing. I sent in the bill and the vet sent in her medical records. Sent a pic of the bill (via mobile app – easy to use!) on 3/2. Got confirmation of reimbursement on 3/7. I thought that was a quick turnaround since I knew they still had to review her records. Now that they have everything apparently claims would be even faster. In my opinion, I would highly recommend Healthy Paws. If you still have doubts, customer service is also on point with emails, and over the phone because I did both. The app is easy to use too! Give them a call! Check them out. If you are considering pet insurance I would definitely recommend this company!

Excellent Service and Support

The support and service have been excellent! We bought a puppy 6 months ago and decided to keep the insurance the previous owner had set up with Healthy Paws. Little did we know how important that decision was! Our Cavalier King Charles required knee surgery when she was 10 months old. Sending in the claims was very easy for us and the Veterinarians. Our claim was handled quickly and everyone we spoke with was caring and efficient.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Best decision I ever made!

I give Healthy Paws Pet Insurance a Five Star rating because I have absolutely no reservations about this company and I would recommend them to anyone that has a pet. In fact, I would give them 100 stars if I could. They are THAT good. Customer service - excellent. Claim payments - excellent. Personal service - excellent. They truly care about animals and go above and beyond to make sure your pet is taken care of. I love this company and they literally saved my dogs life by covering two very expensive surgeries within the first three years of his young life. Today, he is a happy, healthy, carefree dog and I am so grateful to Healthy Paws for all their assistance. Trust me - if you are looking for pet insurance, go with Healthy Paws. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made for me and my dog.

Great company

I got Healthy Paws pet insurance for my Sphynx kitten, which is the first pet I've owned in my adult life. Soon thereafter, my girlfriend and I moved in together and got two more kittens, a Savannah and an Oriental Short Hair. We got those kittens coverage under Healthy Paws as well. I now refer all of my friends, family, and fellow pet lovers to Healthy Paws and advocate that everyone get pet insurance, which leads to my first point. The first question you might have when considering pet insurance is "do I really need pet insurance?!" It's a very reasonable question, and one you might ask friends and family who are fellow pet owners. Most fellow pet lovers will tell you it's unnecessary, since the amount you pay in monthly premiums can simply be put away in a savings account that can then be used to pay for any pet-related medical expenses that come up in the future. If none come up, then you get to keep your money instead of giving it to an insurance company. I strongly disagree with this position for a few reasons: 1) The "save on your own" option is great in theory but not in practice. Most people (including myself and nearly everyone that I know) are just not going to have the discipline to keep a separate pet-related medical expense account. And if we did, I can very well see myself and others dipping into that account the minute we need some cash for other expenses unrelated to pets; 2) Even if you did save on your own, then just one emergency trip to the pet hospital/vet can very well deplete that entire account and require even more money out of your pocket; 3) Pet insurance gives you peace of mind knowing that your pet will be fully covered (minus the annual deductible and exam fees), so you will not be financially limited to the amount that you might be able to save on your own over the years for medical expenses. Do you really want to be in a position where your pet needs emergency surgery that will cost $6,000, but you only have $3,000 in a savings account? I sure don't, which is why I love having pet insurance. My cats are indoor cats, so they face even less risk than indoor-outdoor cats. But eating one piece of string can be deadly and require very costly surgery/follow-up treatment. Treat your cats the way you treat yourself and your children; get them insurance. Which leads to the next question "What insurance should I get?!" I love Healthy Paws. My vet recommended a couple of others, but I happened to stumble upon Healthy Paws thr

Healthy Paws - Best decision I ever made

Unfortunately, my dog didn't win the genetic lottery and one year after adopting him it became clear he was headed for a total hip replacement for his bad hips. A year after the hip surgery his knee started popping out of place and again he was headed for surgery. I honestly don't know what I would have done if I didn't have Healthy Paws Insurance to help cover the majority of costs for these two major surgeries. Both were expensive surgeries but Healthy Paws made them possible by covering 80% of the costs. Sending in a claim is easy and reimbursement is fast! This company even reached out to me after both surgeries to find out how my dog was doing! Thank you, Healthy Paws. Your exceptional service and sincere concern for my dog has made me a customer for life.
