I've been using Healthy Paws for my dog's Insurance for the last 2 years and they are AMAZING to work with. They are incredibly responsive, accessible, and friendly. Their claim submission, communication, updates, and processing workflow is stellar. If I could find a 'human' Insurance company like Healthy Paws, I'd switch over instantly. That's no joke! Compared to the last Pet Insurance company we had used for another pet, HP is a total 180 degrees different. I no longer dread submitting claims, fearing that they're being sent into a black hole. HP's online submission process is incredibly efficient and they even process claims on the weekends! I'm obviously a huge fan and thrilled to have found a company that understands customer service.

AMAZING
I decided to get insurance for my 1.5 yr old buddy Shiloh after witnessing a few fights at the dog park. As luck would have it, about a month after I got the insurance Shiloh got VERY sick. It was a whole month affair, because it took many specialists and exams to figure out what was wrong. Turns out he had something like a stick fragment lodged in his cheek. After lots of blood tests and medicine and tests, he ended up having surgery, and I ended up with a $4,000 bill for everything they did in 2 days at the hospital. Healthy Paws gave me $3800 back, covering everything but the consultations themselves. They even emailed me a week later to check in on Shiloh! I officially swear by Healthy Paws

Real People caring about you and your family!
I did a considerable amount of research before selecting this company to insure my dog, who was a puppy, and my cat who was close to 7 years old. I have been with them for 4 years now and I cannot imagine being a pet parent without them. Anyone who has ever had a loved companion become ill unexpectedly knows of the incredible fear about getting the best treatment and how the cost of that care will impact you. When my puppy was 2, he contracted leptospirosis after a rural hike and was at death's door. Had it not been for Healthy Paws bearing the burden of the cost for his care and hospitalization, it would've been daunting. I was amazed that they processed the claim quickly and reimbursed me 90% of the covered costs, exactly as was stated in our policy. Fast forward a few years, and my now 11 year old cat, who was always the picture of health, has developed chronic vomiting. He underwent emergency procedures involving blood tests, a transfusion and an ultra sound. Sadly, test results made it clear to me that he was gravely ill and the chances of him surviving any further procedures were so slim, it wasn't fair to put him through it. Once again, Healthy Paws came through, reimbursing me 90% of the covered costs just like before. I think what stunned me the most was the sympathy card I received, with handwritten messages from their staff! I gasped when I opened the card and saw all of the thoughtful words. Doing some simple math, I actually think that Healthy Paws has reimbursed me for more than they've received in premiums. They have been a life saver, literally and figuratively. They are my "partner" in providing the best care for my furry companions. So, THANK YOU to Lindsay, Madisyn, Justin, Sherman, Katie, Stephanie, Shae (who even said to give Dashiell, our dog, extra pets when he lost his cat), Tim and Callisan. You have treated our family as if we are part of yours, and if I could give you more stars, I would!

Healthy paws insurance
This is the note I sent to them after my dog's sudden, serious illness.
To those who I spoke to, and those who processed my claim, I want to say a very big thank you. It was a struggle getting my husband to agree to pet insurance for a two year old dog. Obviously, I won that debate and I am currently walking around gloating with an " I told you so " kinda smirk on my face. The courtesy and kindness from all of those involved was so helpful and appreciated. And the promptness in processing my claims was also appreciated as I am retired and the bills will be coming due soon.
Thank you once again. I surely will be recommending this company to my friends with doggies.

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
