Something just did not seem right with out best friend so we took him to our vet and then had to go right to the ER and long story short after $8,500 and one emergency surgery at about midnight, our Welsh Terrier is slowly getting back to being the terror that he is. He may have 30+ staples in his stomach but you would never notice without looking directly at his belly and thankfully he is on the road to a full recovery. I remember minutes before the surgery the doctor came out and had to explain to us the costs associated with literally saving his life and there was no thought in my mind about not doing the surgery; part of the reason that costs never crossed my mind was due to HealthyPaws. Excellent insurance. Chose an 80/20 plan with a $250 deductible. A very clear and easy to use process with a phone app. We recently needed to use it for one of our labs who ruptured both ACLs. We were able to get both knees repaired and I can't recommend them enough. Claims submitted once, and payment is on its way. A great customer service line and even a note asking how Stella was doing.
