Satisfied customer

I think Health Paws is a good insurer. Filing a claim online is very easy. They are pretty prompt in making a decision and the reimbursement is made directly into one's account, which also saves time. There are some exclusions and deductibles, but overall, I think the product is a good and fair value for the premiums.

Good Insurance

I got this insurance in case of something unexpected. I didn't expect to actually use this insurance for such a young dog but my 2-year-old Corgi ended up with multiple bouts of Colitis and we are still searching for the cause. Healthy Paws has reimbursed quickly and has been super easy to work with. I'm so glad I elected to go with them when I got our Corgi. I don't worry about the vet bills so much now that I know they reimburse quickly and easily.

Awful!

I had insurance for years without a claim. Last month, my credit card on file had a new expiration date and did not go through. My policy was canceled. I was told they emailed me (I searched my email account and only an email from 2 years prior came up), and mailed me - which I did not receive, I called to get it reinstated and they won't do it. My dog is now 6 years old and they can't even create a new policy. Awful!

We understand there are times a policyholder's credit card used on the policy could be lost, compromised by fraud or that there may be a change in bank accounts, expiration date, etc. When an account goes into suspension due to the fact that we are unable to bill the card on file, we make every effort to keep policyholders up to date and informed about the status of their accounts. Multiple notices are sent via email, and a Notice of (upcoming) Cancellation is sent out via regular post as well. There is also an automatic grace period taken into account. However, at the end of the grace period, if we do not hear back from the primary account holder (prior to the cancellation effective date) the account is canceled. In order to provide our coverage with no annual or lifetime caps for all pets enrolled with us, we offer plans based on the pet’s information and claims payout in each state. Since your pet fell outside the enrollment guidelines in your state, we could not re-enroll your pet.

Thousands Reimbursed - Absolutely Recommend

My sweet rescue dog has the misfortune of regularly needing medical care. Healthy Paws has literally saved me thousands of dollars. My dog needed almost half her teeth removed because she cracked them - HP covered $2k. She was also just diagnosed with cancer and they reimbursed me $5k within a few days of submitting a surgery claim. My dog's life is honestly longer because of them, it's a huge relief.
