My dog had surgery on his left leg last spring. The bill was $ 4,100 and we only had to pay 10%. We received a check for 90% within a week of filing the claim.
My dog then needed the same surgery on his right leg this spring. The bill had gone up to $ 4,400 and again we received payment for 90% of that within a week of filing the claim.
These people emailed me both times post surgery to find out how my dog was recovering.

Healthy Paws Cares !
My 3 year old GSD mix, Paige tore her ACL and we were able to get her into an arthoscopic surgeon and give her the best care without a worry about the cost thanks to Healthy Paws Insurance. They are truly THE BEST. They are completely compassionate and are very responsive. I highly recommend them to everyone I meet with pets. My experience has been one we will never forget. Thank you for covering Jimmy & Paige! - Rick & Kim

I wish they covered people!
We have been with Healthy Paws for over 5 years and I have never regretted my decision to insure my pets. I have peace of mind that I will not have to choose between getting treatment, doing nothing, or worse when it comes to the welfare of my furbabies!
Our 4-year old Staffie, who we adopted two years ago, is in the process of having TTA surgery on both of his hind legs due to torn CCLs, about $6,000 total for both surgeries. After submitting the first round of medical records and invoices, I called Healthy Paws to let them know he would be getting surgery. The rep on the phone was very patient and reviewed his record with me during the initial call. She let me know that the surgeries would be covered and any rehab/physical therapy services would be covered as well. It was a comfort to know what our total out of pocket would be: 30% + $500, which is the reimbursement level (70%) + deductible we elected.
We were able to schedule his first surgery immediately, with his second to occur within the next 4-6 months, which hopefully means our pup will be back to his healthy, happy, playful puppy-self by the end of the year!
We also started a claim for one of our cats who was injured several years ago. While his medical expenses were less than the deductible, the claims process was just as easy for him and if his injuries had been more severe, I have no doubt Healthy Paws would have been there to assist with the costs of his treatment and recovery.
Sure I could have put what I spent on insurance premiums into a rainy day fund, but my dog's rainy day came well before I would have saved what Healthy Paws is reimbursing and I have no way to know what his future may bring, though I hope only sunshine!
I did a lot of research on the various pet insurance companies, and I think Healthy Paws is the best value. I can't imagine better customer service anywhere else. If human insurance companies cared as much about people as Healthy Paws cares about pets, we'd all be healthier!

Healthy Paws is my hero!
By far the best pet insurance I have had my dogs insured through. I have used 2 other companies and Healthy Paws has had the best coverage and reimbursement level.
My dog just had TPO surgery (triple pelvic osteotomy) this way my first claim with them and within 1-2 days of sending all needed information and claim form I received the explanation of benefits showing what my total reimbursement would be (90%). The payment was in by mail box a short time after that.
I cannot recommend this company enough!!! If you have thought about insuring your pets, this is the company I would recommend.

Happy Customer
Most importantly...nothing hidden. My $250 deductible and then Healthy Paws covered 80 and I covered 20. Having insurance in general made it so easy to tell the vet to move forward with our pug's pancreatitis. Then, as our first time using our insurance, I am so glad I did my research and chose Healthy Paws. The app's claim process is user friendly, they are in contact with me making sure Bullitt is doing better, and they processed the claim as soon as I sent it in. I am very happy with their service. Happy Pug mom.
