Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws has been an excellent value. Other pet insurance plans seem to have endless exceptions and lifetime maximums. I have been able to get my dog TPLO surgery, which would have been prohibitively expensive without it. The premium is reasonable and the turnaround on claims is very fast. Like any other pet insurance, pre-existing conditions are not covered and they do not cover the initial visit/consultation. Other than that, they really provide the best coverage and customer service I've experienced so far as a pet owner.

Healthy Paws pet insurance is amazing! Our boy kitty Jiva broke his tail and had it amputated. After it his tail healed he ate something that obstructed his bowels and had to have surgery. He stayed in the hospital for two nights. Healthy Paws covered the bulk of our bills after we met our deductible. We have the reimbursement of 80%. Without Healthy paws our bills would have been close to $5,000. They also have unlimited benefits! A few days later, I received an email from Tim at Healthy Paws asking how Jiva was doing. What an amazing, thoughtful and caring company. If you have pets I would highly recommend insurance from Healthy Paws. We are lucky our handsome boy kitty is doing okay. Natalie C.

I rave about Healthy Paws to my friends. I have two pets insured with them, and have had some pretty hefty bills for one of them. I will never regret insuring the other - even if I don't have to access it. I am so grateful for the true coverage, customer service, and prompt reimbursements. I had a large bill on Monday, the vet submitted the claim, and by Thursday, a reimbursement check was on its way. Shasta, our sweet rescued Alaskan Husky, has gone through a lot of health-related problems in the past year that she has been with us: Heart worm, Ehrlichia, a fatty tumor, and a very weak stomach at the beginning. Given the frequency of her first trips to the vet, we knew we need some help in taking care of the bills in the future, did our research on pet insurance, and found the best: Healthy Paws! We could not have made a better choice. Healthy Paws covers a broad set of pet health expenses and has been supporting us throughout all Shasta's treatments. We just upload photos of the receipts in the Healthy Paws app, and they start processing in a couple of days. So, now we can focus all of our attention on Shasta's health knowing that we are not financially alone. Recently, she needed to go under an unexpected abdominal surgery. She got the best medical care she could, and we received a check for about $3k covering %90 of the expenses in a couple of days. I don't think there is anything more a pet parent could ask for. We have been extremely satisfied with their support and strongly recommend them to all pet owners!

We are so happy with our decision not only to get pet insurance for our dog, but specifically to go through Healthy Paws. The app is so easy to use to submit a claim and we usually have our reimbursment check within a couple weeks. Our dog recently had to have surgery that cost over $4,000. We got the majority of that back from Healthy Paws in less than 2 weeks. Our dog is back home, happy & healthy. And HP even sent us an email to check on him.
