Exceptional and caring customer service!

My experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing but exceptional! Not only did Shelby quickly detail our coverage and help us navigate the difficult time of choosing chemo treatments but her kindness helped us through such a difficult time. The same day I submitted our claims, she processed them. She wrote a letter detailing our coverage so that my skeptical husband could see all that was covered and so we could immediately proceed with testing and treatments. She even reviewed our estimates and helped us understand what was covered and was so supportive. This is a company that actually does what they say they will and then some. She has gone above and beyond and I can't recommend them enough!!

They never disappoint!

I've had my Great Dane and American Bulldog Mix insured with Healthy Paws for over two years and I've needed to use them twice for the Great Dane (2 tumors) and most recently for the American Bulldog Mix (the dreaded CCL repair!). I can't say enough good things about them, from the ease of filing the claim to the speed at which they reimburse me. Bonus: A representative always e-mails me afterwards to check in on my pet and yes, they name my dogs by name. It's a very nice touch in a world where caring people are hard to come by.

Forever Grateful to Healthy Paws

We got health insurance for our golden retriever puppy thinking it was a precaution for down the line. His plan started in February, and we pay $43 a month. In April, we notice he has a slight limp. Per vet's instructions, we have him take it easy (no long walks, rough play, stairs, etc.) to make sure it's just a sprain. Well, turns out it was more than just a strain. With our first $400 X-ray, we met our $250 deductible. I filed the claim (easy, just take a picture with your phone and upload to the app) and it was approved in under 3 days. We received a check in the mail soon after. THEN, though, the X-ray results came back and showed that our sweet 7-month-old puppy had elbow dysplasia in his right and left leg. Our vet recommended surgery ASAP, so as to reduce the damage of the FCP (x2) and OCD lesion and prevent him from suffering from debilitating arthritis at a very young age. We took him to a specialist, who agreed he needed the surgery in order to live as happy and normal of a life as possible. The surgery was going to cost $4,100 (!) which for us, is a LOT. We were glad we had pet insurance and hopeful they would cover it, but we'd heard all kinds of stories about people getting turned down for nonsense reasons and companies making excuses not to cover things. Our pup had his surgery May 2, and I (nervously) filed our claim the next day. Two days after that, it was approved -- covered in full, and we were sent a reimbursement check for 80% in the mail. Healthy Paws even followed up to ask how our dog was doing. I can't even tell you how thankful I am we got insurance from Healthy Paws. This would have been a huge financial setback for us, but thanks to our coverage, it was a manageable expense.

Healthy Paws hands down!

My mother recommended pet insurance to me while I was waiting for my pup to come home. She has Healthy Paws, but encouraged me to do my own research. I did. I settled on a final three, and ultimately chose Healthy Paws. My pup came home, and is and was the sweetest boy, but seems to now be plagued with health issues. He turned one in January, and first on the books is double knee surgery. He had one of two done, three and a half weeks ago. My claims have been processed and approved as of four days ago. This includes a couple day delay, but was due to me not providing all needed information from his doctors. The customer service representative that I dealt with during the process was considerate and friendly. I could not be more grateful that I chose Healthy Paws. And this is a truthful review, from an actual customer, with nothing to gain by this review other than hopefully help another pet parent. I absolutely, 100% recommend Healthy Paws!
