Healthy Paws is Great

Healthy Paws has been really great for us over the past couple of years owning a handful of a dog. Claims are processed VERY quickly (1-2 days on average) and they recently came through for us on an expensive ACL repair surgery. They even personally emailed me to follow up on how our dog was recovering, which was a nice touch.

Healthy Paws has been amazing

Healthy Paws has been amazing. Without them, I couldn’t have afforded my pet’s surgery. They have been so kind anytime I had questions, and worked quickly to get us reimbursed. They even reached out post surgery to see how Loki was doing. I would highly suggest to anyone who js seeking pet insurance to consider using Healthy Paws!!

Really poor experience from Healthy…

Really poor experience from Healthy Paws. They had no issues taking money from me for 7 years, but never helped when we needed it. I've been paying insurance for the last 7 years. I've been fortunate enough to never need to file a claim until a few months ago when my dog needed to visit the ER. A couple thousand dollars later he came back and was ok. When I went to file the claim, it was rejected multiple times because I was missing the initial paperwork from his first vet visit (7 years ago). This vet no longer has the handwritten "soap notes", only the electronic form from his initial exam. I've had multiple customer service interactions and am told if I can't get the soap notes, I'll need go to a vet to get a new checkup with "soap notes", and any claims that occurred before that time would not be valid. Why would they take my money for 7 years if they were never going to be able to process a claim. If they needed the paperwork up front, they should collect it before they take my money. Frustrated, disappointed, and now broke.

Excellent Investment for my Fur-baby and me

My pup was rescued at the age of about 6 and we signed up for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance right away after reading a Consumer Reports (if I remember correctly) recommendation. The article definitely put them at the top of the heap. We've had a few health scares over the years, most recently a surgery that left a 3" scar on her tiny leg, but removed a dangerous growth (hopefully permanently). Healthy Paws' website is easy to navigate, contains helpful information, and it is super easy to fill out a claim form. They respond immediately to acknowledge your submission and pay claims very promptly. It is top of the line insurance and there are no lifetime limits; of course, the cost is commensurate.
