Better Policy Practices
I have been a customer since 2020 and was extremely upset after hearing there was no other way to lower my pet insurance. Then when I inquired about canceling I found out the only reimbursement I would receive is $84.00.
I put over $4, 000 into this insurance policy and to know that I will only receive 84.00 back is disheartening.
Please update your policies and how you can financially support pet owners better.
Reply to @HealthyPaw:
Thank you for responding, I was told the same information on the phone.
It would be financially unreasonable for me to continue with this insurance. $500 deductible and 70% coverage.
Your response will help other dog owners make an informed decision.

We're sorry you were not satisfied with your plan. We do our best to be transparent throughout our website, during the enrollment process, and in the plan documents available to each client in their online Healthy Paws account regarding the limited exclusions of our plan. Those exclusions are pre-existing conditions, preventative/routine care, and the office visit fee (veterinary exam fee). Anyone visiting our website can see this information under our "Frequently Asked Questions" and in the sample plan. As per the plan we do require medical records for all enrolled pets to process claims, including a copy of the required enrollment examination. In situations where there is not a ton of medical history available, at minimum we require the notes from the enrollment exam as outlined in your plan documents to process claims. Based upon the medical records for your pet, we could not provide coverage for the claims in question due to it falling into one of the limited plan exclusions.
