Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My dog is very healthy, i almost never use the insurance ever year increases 50%. I have been paying $ 225 a month now it’s increases from 225 to 476.39 a month there no justification that is stilling on the most time that I need because my dog is 14 years older. Runway don’t lose your money.

We've had Healthy Paws pet insurance for our dachshund since we got him four years ago and have always had a positive experience with claims being processed easily and quickly. He recently needed emergency spinal surgery and hospitalization for three days. Even though this claim was extremely high and included three pages of charges, everything was processed quickly, helping us avoid any financial difficulties in caring for our little man. On top of that, they reached out to us to see how he was doing. It was a very pleasant surprise to see an insurance company care so much. We've recommended Healthy Paws to all our friends with pets.

I have been a very happy Healthy Paws customer since 2018, about 6 months after I got my Boxer puppy, who is now almost 6 years old. I did a lot of research before getting a dog on the pros and cons of pet insurance and everyone had strong opinions on the matter. Some felt it was a scam and you should just "budget for vet bills" when getting a dog. This would be ideal for all of us, but sometimes unexpected things happen, no matter how much you plan and budget. Others simply don't have the resources to pay for thousands of dollars in vet bills. Some felt pet insurance was a great idea as it provided critical support for their pet's health needs. I initially decided to wait, and after 6 months of "puppy things" that brought me to the vet on several occasions, I decided to purchase pet insurance. I did a lot of digging and came across Healthy Paws. I was drawn to them for a few reasons: they had great reviews on their customer service and there were various choices for pet owners, including annual deductible amounts and reimbursement rates (70-90%). Up until very recently, my dog has been fairly healthy with a few minor things/medications, etc. I have never had any issues being reimbursed at the 80% rate I selected. The claims process is SO simple and I generally receive funds in my account within 48-72 hours of filing. Most recently, my dog has had several vet visits and procedures to rule out bladder cancer. It was terrifying, however, knowing I had Healthy Paws made it SO much easier to handle. I was able to get all the testing and procedures needed to get an official diagnosis that was NOT CANCER (!!!) And I received reimbursement for all of it. Getting pet insurance with Healthy Paws was one of the best decisions I have made in my dog mom life and I am so grateful to the Healthy Paws family for all they have done.

Healthy Paws is amazing - I can’t say enough good things. My young pup is going through cancer treatment and Healthy Paws have been by my side through the surgeries, CT scans and radiation. We have used Healthy Paws pet insurance since 2017. Our cat got the best care we could give and Heathy Paws was a huge part of his quality of life. We had major surgeries covered. We have long term medications covered. Healthy Paws was also fast to complete and cover claims. Rocky was part of our family for almost 15 years and we thank Healthy Paws for helping our family.
