Highly Reccomend!

I've been using Healthy Paws for three years and I've recommended them to everyone I know looking for pet insurance. The rates are reasonable, my claims process very quickly, and it's allowed me to get care for my dog that I otherwise simply wouldn't have been able to afford. As someone with a pet with chronic digestive issues, it's made caring for him much less stressful.

Been with them 10 years

Been with them 10 years. 1 dog for 10, 2nd for 7. Paid out lots of $$ over $16,000. Reimbursement- $656.52 after deductibles. They used to have late payment option by a few days. Removed it without notifying anyone. Noticed this was after they lost a BIG class action lawsuit. Have a medical emergency in my family and requested a 3 day late payment. 3 days. Denied. Customer service non existent. Had asked about this before and they kept saying I wasn’t a customer and couldn’t find my account but they could keep getting direct payments. There’s other companies out there now with more services. Recommend new people search for better options. We pay more $$$ per month for pet insurance than ours. Get less consideration for loyal customer. 3 days delay. 3. Seriously. It’s not like they’re not going to get their money. Update: regarding their reply. They missed the point of my complaint. 1. I paid out a large amount over the years and used them very little because I kept our dogs healthy. I did not complain about the reimbursement it was in comparison to what I paid in. 2. They never notified customers of a change in policy. 3. A 3 day grace period for a long time customer is hardly an imposition or impossibility. To others: there’s many new companies that offer wellness services etc now. Check them out. I recommended HPI prior. They want loyalty but don’t extend it. You can also set aside the same amount you’d pay an insurance company every month - and if you keep your pets healthy - you’d have plenty to take care of them as they age. When a company loses a large lawsuit regarding practices, the company doesn’t pay. The customers do. Choose your company wisely. My two cents.

BOAS Surgery for 1 yo Frenchie

Our 1yo French Bulldog required a major airway surgery due to his BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome). This operation entails a Soft Palate Resection, widening of his nares, a tonsillectomy and removal of his saccules and we also decided to neuter him at the same time so that he can avoid another round of anesthesia. The operation was very stressful for us as a family - mainly because we were worried about the outcome and the recovery of such a major surgery but also due to the cost of the operation itself. Because the operation is so invasive, he required an overnight stay for monitoring along with medication to follow during his recovery. The estimate of the surgery was between $6700 to $7600. Due to the tremendous impact that this surgery would have on his quality of life, we decided to move forward with the surgery and we are happy to report that he is healing very well and is a totally different dog who can actually breathe now! (It ended up costing just under $7100) The plus was that Healthy Paws was there to help us with the cost of the surgery and we were reimbursed the promised 70% of our coverage! We are over the moon with the result of his surgery as well as Healthy Paw's insurance coverage. What a relief all the way around! We recommend HealthyPaws to all of our friends with pets!

Submitting a claim is incredibly easy

They make submitting a claim incredibly easy, with a clear explanation of anything not covered. Website and app are easy to navigate. They cover much more than any other insurance I have seen. Premiums are fair, and while they do increase over time, they are reasonable.

Healthy Paws insurance covered so much for my dog!

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for one of my dogs since he was a puppy and he is now 7 years old. I have been very pleased with the coverage and service I receive from Healthy Paws. I am reimbursed for eligible services days after submission to Healthy Paws. Over this past year my dog has been treated for an unknown shoulder injury that just seems to defy the many approaches to rid him of his pain. Healthy Paws has covered all the treatments submitted and continues to do so as we get closer to a diagnosis that will hopefully result in resolving his pain, muscle atrophy and limping. I recently switched my other dog over to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance because of the great coverage and customer service I receive from Healthy Paws!
