We enrolled Sandi in Healthy Paws Pet Insurance when she was 10 months old. Since her enrollment, she suffered a leg injury, a lost toe nail, infected throat, and a bladder problem. Reimbursement for the first claim took a day or two longer given the need to review her medical file to rule out pre-existing conditions. After the initial claim, the remaining reimbursements arrived within a day or two of filing the claim.
I am so impressed with the service we received from Healthy Paws. Acknowledgement of claims and receipts were immediate, and reimbursements were fast. They even followed up to see how Sandi was doing after her treatments. I highly recommend Healthy Paws for anyone seeking pet insurance.
Picked up Healthy Paws right after we got our dog. The website is easy, information is very clear, the coverage is accurate, and reimbursements are quick. Never bothered to shop around, because the service is legitimately very good.
Thanks to Healthy Paws, it was easy to say, "Money is no object" when our Piper became sick. She had a large mass on her spleen that appeared cancerous and had probably metastasized. She needed a splenectomy ASAP, but her platelets were dangerously low. She wasn't suffering, so we were committed to anything it would take to make her well again. She spent a combined total of 10 days in the hospital with a few days at home in between, while being pumped with meds to try increasing her platelets. Nothing was working, so as a last resort, we were presented with the option of a platelet transfusion in order to do the surgery. Unfortunately, there was still a very good chance she wouldn't make it through, and even if she did, chemotherapy would not be an option due to her low platelets. NOT ONCE did we have to consider the cost of the surgery and/or chemotherapy because we had Healthy Paws standing behind us. But not wanting to put her through all of that, we switched to comfort care mode, until her symptoms returned with a vengeance and we knew it was time to say goodbye. My husband would have mortgaged our house for his baby girl if necessary, but after $20,000 invoiced, we were only out-of-pocket an affordable $4000. We will never get another dog WITHOUT Healthy Paws. The peace of mind alone is worth every penny.

Boris and Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
My beloved schnauzer, Boris, was the light of my life, and when he fell ill in early-Dec 2023, we brought him to the ICU. He stayed there for nearly three weeks, and the bill was over $20,000. Healthy Paws covered almost all of it, with no cap, and reimbursed us within 1-2 days. They were amazing to work with, and genuinely cared about helping my dog. We lost Boris on Christmas Day, but never would have been able to get him the care he needed without this amazing company. When we are ready for another dog, we will sign up with them again!
