Claims settled by a roll of the dice
Settling claims with Figo feels like leaving things to chance. While their marketing and support teams shine with a solid 5-star rating, the experience with the claim department tells a different tale. In an unregulated realm of insurance, Figo seems to exploit the lack of oversight by crafting policies with vague language. The claim department operates on a subjective basis, free to approve or deny based on unclear criteria.
For instance, the policy vaguely excludes "pre-existing conditions" without offering a proper definition. Most would assume "pre-existing" refers to ongoing issues or those present at policy inception, not something your pet was cured of in the past. Figo's agents appear more focused on delving into your pet's medical history, searching for any past ailment that could be loosely connected to the current issue, even if they're unrelated.
Unless you enjoy simply paying premiums, exploring alternatives might be a wise move.
