Read the Contracts, then Pick FIGO
I am extremely analytical in nature. I probably studied the details of pet insurance for 40-50 man hours (also putting it against just saving money in a savings account) before deciding to go with FIGO. If you narrow it down to the top 2 or 3 and compare their coverage, it's easy to see that FIGO covers quite a bit more with fewer exclusions.
Anyway, on to my personal story: my "boys" two English Bulldogs, 1 and under 1 have not had great luck. The youngest got pneumonia, racked up a 1900 between the emergency vet and regular vet within the second month of having FIGO. I held my breath because I had read so many awful reviews online of other companies but they were truly wonderful and I totally trust them now after repeated positive experiences. I wish their hadn't been so many claims this first year but I'm chalking it up to the puppy stages with these guys.
