RE: FIGO RESPONSE. THE RESPONSE THEY SENT WAS AS TRANSPARENT AS CAN BE. REFUND MY MONEY FIGO. ALL OF IT. YOUR YELP REVIEWS PROVE ALL I HAVE SAID... Same review as I posted on YELP- STAY AWAY I would give ZERO if i could.. Pls pls pls, listen to the negative reviews. This company is awful, they turn words your around, they are rude, they are not forthright on purpose. They quote their cancellation policy constantly, CONSTANTLY and make sure the 30 days to cancel is well past your deadline before you can discover how awful they are. They are keeping $116 of my dollars due to the fact that I cancelled after the 30 days. i HPE THEY ENJOY THE $. (This is after months of trying to get claims processed) They claim my Vet's office (who by the way has high scoring reviews everywhere) never sent them the info they needed, this after my Vet's office swore the faxed numerous times. NUMEROUS This is also after numerous RUDE calls. They want to tlk over you, they forget you are the client. I cant waste any more energy on this company, a manager finally called me, I'm not bothering to call back, her message noted their cancellation policy, really? Not the fact that I was lied to numerous times, I WAS.. By the way, they miraculously received EVERYTHING from my Vet (I also sent it, not sure what they are talking about) a few days after I cancelled my policy, so now my claims are null & void. Do not use this company, they are spin masters and amazing at it. Pls pls, believe the bad reviews, and there are many, everywhere. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Find one that treats you with care, not one that has nice telephone music while you hold on for 20 minutes. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with..

Very Satisfied Customer!!!! Very Awesome Pet Insurance!!

I thought all pet insurance were the same until I was introduced to Figo. I have tried two other pet insurance companies prior to Figo. The difference is Figo offers a generous coverage, affordable, and very convenient. I filed 2 claims, and the claims processing was closed within 2 days. Took a pic of my paid invoice, and answered a few questions, and press submit. That easy. I recommend Figo to all my friends with pets.

Horrible Customer Service and Very Slow Claims

Warning. Stay away from Figo Pet Insurance. They are a scam. Their customer service is horrible and they process claims very slowly. I was told several times that they are experiencing high claim volume and they are hiring more people to handle it. I was also told they are growing too fast and are experiencing growing pains. This is not my problem. I have asked several times to speak with a supervisor and there is never one available. I pay my premium on time every month and expect my claims to be processed in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe they should slow down and focus on their existing customers. At this rate they will be out of business from all their unhappy customers. I wish I never signed up with them. There are lots of other pet insurance companies out there that you should consider. I will be cancelling my policy and getting a new policy with another company. Figo it is time for you to GO out of business.

Avoid this company!

Figo is a great idea, however their employees are the worst I have ever come in contact with. During the difficult time after my dog was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma I found myself having to call them to make sure claims were received with all needed documentation. The lack of empathy and downright rudeness from their employee representative was appalling. When my dog died I emailed them because I was too upset to call them and I never heard back. Finally I called them and the rep answered and I let her know I had sent an email saying my dog had passed away. Her response was "I know, we got your email." That is literally all she said and then hung up. No empathy or I'm sorry or even thanks for letting us know we closed your policy. This agent has repeatedly been unhelpful and useless when I have called in the past but I never complained as I assumed she may have been having a bad day. I didn't realize until this interaction that she actually just may be a horrible human. I have since had my family switch over to 24PetWatch Insurance. I would never recommend Figo to anyone as they are not animal lovers and do not care about owners. They made an extremely difficult time even worse with their lack of support and empathy.

Very slow claims

I submitted a claim 2 weeks ago and it has not been processed. I called customer service and was told they are experiencing high claim volume and they are not able to keep up. I was told the company is growing and is experiencing growing pains and they are in the process of hiring more employees. Honestly this is not my problem. Maybe they should stop writing new policies and control their growth and focus on their existing customers. If I had known this I would not have taken a policy with them. There are lots of other pet insurance companies out there. Think twice before selecting figo.

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
