I just signed with Figo recently

I just signed with Figo recently. The Customer Service Rep I spoke with was Judy. Judy was very pleasant, professional and very patient ( I had to place her on hold a few times, I was at work). She answered all my questions and helped me with the Pet Cloud App. This was definitely the way to start out with what I hope to be a very good relationship with a very good pet insurance provider. Thank you Judy!

Slow and not responsive

Initial review is "so far, not good!" Seven weeks after we submitted a claim and hearing nothing but, "We are slow" emails, "please forgive us." I called. All I got was, "we have a large volume and are working the claim" and "we are waiting to get records from your vet." I asked when they reached out to the vet so I could make sure the request was handled quickly, she could not tell me. After getting basically nothing from the girl at FIGO, I called the vet and she informed me that they had reached out this morning and and just completed the request and sent all of the records back to FIGO. So FIGO has everything, now we see how much longer this takes. As of now, I would not recommend this company.

Figo has been there for us and our dogs whenever we needed them!

We chose Figo 2 weeks after adopting a two year old Rescue Great Dane. 2 weeks after that the dog swallowed a 7” teddy bear -whole! He was rushed into surgery at 2 a.m. at the emergency vet that we chose, he came home the next day with a huge vet bill. Figo covered their portion of the bill within a week! We are so glad that we chose Figo! Now we have another rescued Dane and the two of them keep us hopping!

Great customer service, easy claims, good rates!

Great customer service, good rates, easy claim. All come to together for a great experience. We have two dogs with policies, and one of them swallowed a piece of metal. Claims for xrays and emergency vet care were simple and paid promptly.

Awesome coverages!

Our last Golden Retriever's insurance turned out to be a joke, although we had the best plan they offered and had it for 9 years, they ended up only paying 20% of his $4,000 for his cancer medical expenses. We were very disappointed. The company found every reason to not help with his expenses. For our new Golden puppy, I checked out EACH and EVERY pet insurance company I could find, and there are many these days. FIGO had the very best coverages for so many things that other carriers do not cover. We have had one claim and it was easy to file online. The reimbursement (which paid out way more than the last company would have paid) took about a month, but FIGO said they were changing the way they paid to expedite future reimbursements. All in all, I am pretty sure that we love FIGO!!!

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
