Figo | Pet Insurance Review

Do not waste your time and money of this pet insurance! The company has the WORST customer service ever. They are too expensive and deny your claims. I’ve had them for over a year and regret all the wasted money and time using their terrible online glitchy system. Good luck calling into them for help and getting a callback. I called multiple times 2 weeks prior to my dogs dental appointment and have yet to receive a call back. Now they have denied my dental claim! STAY AWAY from this place!

Great insurance company so far. Best prices and best coverage and amazing customer service. They give you so many options on how to contact them, including texting, which is very important for me because I never have the time to make phone calls.

I’ve had Figo for a couple years and thankfully I’ve only had to make one claim. They were very responsive and covered the full amount they were supposed to. The customer service is amazing compared to others I’ve had in the past.

Judy was my rep when I called in to learn about insurance, and she was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in guiding me to find and purchase a policy for two of my pets. Her service was great!

I wanted so badly to like Figo, but just about everything about them has been pretty awful. First, the claim response time was ridiculous, taking over over 7 weeks to process a simple claim. I considered leaving at this point, but called in and was reassured they were making some necessary changes and the claims would be processed much quicker in the future. So I stuck around. But then only a couple weeks later I was notified my premium was due for renewal and that there would be an 130% increase in my premium!! I thought it had to be a mistake. When I called in about it they weren’t exactly the friendliest and basically told me to go elsewhere if I thought it was too much. And, I should probably mention that my dog is a healthy one year old with absolutely no health issues. So to go from $30/month to over $70/month made absolutely no sense. I’d say beware. It seems to me they have the bait and switch tactic down. They lure you in with great rates and then slam you a year or two into your policy. And last thing, I did leave and am very happy with a different company who is offering the exact same coverage (90% reimbursement, $250 deductible, unlimited lifetime benefits) for HALF the cost. So when they tell you they’re competitively priced, don’t believe them.
