Milo thanks Figo :-) My 7 month old golden retriever puppy just had surgery on his knee and shoulder. The cost was astronomical and without the help of Figo, It would have been tough decision. I would do anything for my sweetie, but Figo made it an easy call. He's doing well, and running around like his crazy self. Initially I had a few administrative hiccups with Figo, but once they were cleared up, things have been going smoothly and claims really haven't taken as long as they warn us they may. I have a 19th month old golden retriever, Leo, that is also covered by Figo. Haven't needed to use them for him yet, but in any case we're sticking with Figo for life.

excellent company!

My dog is a rescue that we adopted at 8 weeks old. We got pet insurance for her at the suggestion of our vet and they highly recommended Figo. The claims processing time used to be weeks, now it's a matter of just days! and very easy to submit. Very happy with this company. With my doggie's recurrent UTI's, it helps to get some money back with our frequent vet visits.

After a few years with Figo

After a few years with Figo, I am saying goodbye. I had hopes that Figo was going to be the disrupter of the pet insurance industry and so it is with a heavy heart that I am giving up. The platform is easy to use and the customer service is good, no doubt, but unfortunately I cannot continue to be part of a service that raises premiums 50%-100% every year. I value stability and predictability and that is clearly not something I can depend on Figo to deliver. So am sorry to leave and will not be doing anymore business with you or be recommending FIgo to anyone else either.

Would do it again!

I had a hard time choosing a company for pet insurance. I decided to go with FIGO because they came highly recommended by my trainer, the price is good, and I like how straightforward their policy is. I have been very pleased. I also love their app because it makes submitting a claim, and following up on it very simple and fast. Would do it again!

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
