Buyers Beware!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!!! There should definitely be a stricter regulations like human beings have on insurance companies! I compared a few insurance companies. Figo was the easiest to get a quote from online, ended up quoting the most reasonable premium for my dog, and as it turned out - after filing with them a few times - very easy to file with. Reimbursement took a day every time! Until they changed their underwriting company... Come time for renewal after my first year - premium MORE THAN DOUBLED itself!!! Leaving me with my dog's existing condition, and no way to get coverage with a different insurance company... Shame on me for not going with a more reputable company.

Able to provide top notch care for my pet

My dog Bennie had broken two teeth shortly after I had signed up for the insurance. Working at an veterinary office I was skeptical about signing my own pet for insurance because I had seen what other companies did to clients for their claims process. Thankfully the claims process was simple and thankfully my pup was able to go to the dental specialist and have the teeth repair vs. having them extracted at the clinic I work at.

We've only had great experiences with Figo for our dog over the last year! Our dog needed a large surgery for his back that they covered. His follow up care was covered too and our pup is as good as new. We are about to go on our second year with Figo and our rate has dropped! We received a cancellation letter that scared me but after calling Figo they explained that our policy is just going with a new underwriter and the price dropped way down.

Best insurance deal for my senior dogs out there

Just like with other insurance plans you have to read the fine print, consider all of the plan choices and make sure you pick the best plan for your circumstances. I was in a very difficult financial situation and my pet required medical attention that was extremely expensive. I was desperate. I wanted to save my pet and I felt like I won the lottery with the affordable coverage plan that I was approved for. Also the staff is always professional and promo. Thanks to Figo insurance my senior pet is alive and well. I would highly recommend it.

I scanned an invoice and receipt and in TWO HOURS, the eligible reimbursement was in my checking account with clear explanation of the payment.

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
