Figo offers customizable coverage built for millennial pet parents. Pick from one of their three comprehensive plans, then add powerups like Wellness, Veterinary Exam Fee Coverage, or the Extra Care Pack. They’re the only pet insurance company to offer up to 100% reimbursement, so big vet bills won’t break the bank. Figo customers have exclusive access to the Figo Pet Cloud app, including features like a 24/7 Virtual Vet and easy mobile claim filing. No pet insurance company covers pre-existing conditions, but Figo is the only one who will help you identify those conditions at the start of your policy. If you don’t think you’ll get value out of pet insurance after your initial review, just cancel within 30 days of signing up to get your money back.

Was not pleased

My claim took a month to be processed. I have a dog that I got from a rescue and Figo decided that for this recent claim they needed vet records from before I got the dog. This took weeks. In the meantime while waiting on that vet to send the records, Figo closed/put the claim on hold and I had to keep texting and calling in order to find out the status and push Figo to continue to reach out to the vet for the records. The claim was then denied for the medication that was prescribed due to a pre-existing condition. This was not accurate however because although the medication was previously prescribed, this time it was for a completely different issue! Also, Figo has covered this medication for him before, so I didn't understand why there was a different result this time. I texted Figo once again and asked them why he wasn't covered for the medication due to this issue that he's only had since we started his policy. They said they would reach out and investigate why the claim was denied. They got back to me today and it was determined that the mediation is covered since it was prescribed for a new issue and not a pre-existing condition. If i had not continuously contacted Figo to repeatedly reach out to the vet and then contacted them again regarding my claim denial, my claim would probably still be closed without the correct action being taken.

Over the last month I have had a series…

Over the last month I have had a series of tragedies related to my fur babies. Both incidents required emergency veterinary services and surgery. FIGO has been amazing! I have unlimited with an affordable deductible. Of note: a set of my claims was adjudicated IN HOURS and has been a huge relief to settle due to cost. I LOVE FIGO and tell all fur parents I know about them!

Please don't make the same mistake STAY AWAY keep researching

I am so ashamed of myself for signing up for this pet insurance. I have been paying on my policy for almost a year. I needed to file a claim for my cat as she was throwing up. I took her to the vet hospital they really did not find anything wrong with her. They did give her some medicine as they felt she may be having a problem with defecating. My cat had this problem around 3 years ago but the vet did not find anything that was causing this. She said she may have eaten something that caused this. Of course, when I submitted my claim to FIGO they denied it as they stated that this was a precondition that was not covered. My total vet bill was $932. I agreed to the additional testing as I thought I was covered under this insurance plan. Big mistake!!!! When I called the lady would not provide me the legal address to provide to my attorney nor would she provide me anyone else to speak with. She stated that she was the only person in the office. I asked to speak with her manager and of course, they were not available. This is a typical insurance response when they do not want to payout. She kept tel me that they do payout for services and recently paid a $20,000 claim. HA HA HA, what was that the one claim for the year and this has been added to your script to defuse customers? Cats get sick and mine does about every 6 months or so but it passes. Their response was as follows: "Cat has a history of intermittent vomiting and constipation over the last 2 years. She has episodes about every 6 months where she will be straining to defecate and will produce either nothing or large dry fecal balls. She always vomits and cries during the days when she is sick. Chronic intermittent vomiting, constipation, anorexia, +/- diarrhea" But this is not covered as they consider this as a precondition prior to taking out my policy. Again, they have no intention of paying anything out and they expect their payment every month on time. Think the only way you could get a claim is that it has to be a newborn with no problems and then maybe they will payout something but like most insurance companies they will find a loophole. Please I beg you not to make the same mistake I did. I am so ashamed and embarrassed I allowed myself to be taken advantage of.

Follow up on their reply: please see how they act like they care but as you can tell this is a typical insurance companies response. They all try to act so concerned but really they just want that monthly premium. Please don’t be fooled by their response. Save your money and go with a different company. I have learned my lesson that’s for sure.
