Unhappy with New Underwriters
I'm unhappy that Figo has chosen a new company to underwrite their policies. I'm even more unhappy that pre-existing users were not given the option to be grandfathered into their old plan, but instead were forced to swap.
Under the new plan(s):
- Emergency exam fees are not automatically covered,
- There is no option for the old $200 deductible, and
- The 90% reimbursement rate is roughly 25% more expensive than it was previously (for me, although I'm reading here that it has near doubled for some).
Ultimately I'll keep Figo because I do appreciate how quickly claims are handled and their customer service response time is unparalleled, but I am disappointed with how they've chosen to roll out this change.
