Figo | Pet Insurance Review

Took 10 weeks for a single claim to be filed. No where did it state that their claims take that long to be completed. Cancelled once I hit week 8 and it wasn’t still completed.

I have been with Figo for a while now and they have been great. Super easy to get help when I need it most. Reimbursement for accidents (like my cat, Rain, chipping a tooth that resulted in a root canal) was a smooth process. I can't believe I didn't join Figo earlier. Figo is a must have for accident prone pets like mine.

for the better part of a year I have complained about the pet cloud inability to save my reimbursement checking account data. The app has an option for my data to be remembers. And it does remember my account number - but not my bank routing number. Wierldly, It USED to do this, and then something happened. Repeatedly Ive been told "I have heard that complaint before. Its a tech thing. I will let the tech team know". And repeatedly, I go to the cloud, and the same problem is there again, forcing me to go searching for the routing number, which is not readily available usually. Yes I could write it down and hang it on my PC. Or you guys could fix your app. I expect that this kind of tech fix is something that a tech team gets squared away in a week maybe, not 10 months or whatever its been.

I’ve been paying this “insurance” premium for over a year with no claims. The only thing that happened was my premium went up and my coverage decreased, which I didn’t even know about as I didn’t know this would happen and had no reason to check on my policy. I finally file a small claim of less than $300 for an accident claim, wait weeks, and am denied? Absolutely useless.

My cat needed surgery to have 4 teeth extracted from a non pre-existing condition. The bill was almost $2,000 and Figo not only rejected the entire claim with the reasoning that there was no specific accident. Clearly I brought my pet in and did not get elective surgery. Disappointed with Figo Insurance.
