My opinion on Figp

When I call everyone is kind and helps answer any questions I have. The reason I didn't give a five is because my puppy may need a surgery in the future so I would feel peace of mind knowing its covered since I pay over 50 a month for unlimited. They said it should be covered but the final decision isn't given until it goes to the review board after the surgery. I got insurance so I wouldn't have to worry. But hope my puppy ends up not needing surgery on his leg 🤞

Limping turned into amputation

My 80 lb lab was limping for 3 weeks. took her to the vet and in the course of positioning her for an x-ray, they broke her femur. Turns out her bone was deteriorated (thus cause for the limping) and bone cancer was suspected. Immediately took her to a pet emergency room, where they evaluated her and kept her overnight until she could be moved to the orthopedic clinic where surgery was performed the next day to amputate her leg. Figo was great! Claims filed online and support docs easily uploaded to their website. Claims for both the ER stay and the surgery were evaluated and approved in less than 24 hours. Great job on making a stressful situation a lot less stressful. Would recommend Figo wholeheartedly.

I have now paid for two years…

I have now paid for two years subscription with no benefits as I am still waiting on reimbursement for my dogs combination nose dilation and hernia repair. The vet surgeon did all this while she performed a typical neutering to keep the cost down and decrease anesthesia time, which would of increased the cost to both me and you. Both the vet and I have sent all the paperwork requested and there is still a hold up! After some research I have found pet insurance companies that also cover annual visits, labs and the neuter AT LESS COST than the yearly price of FIGO, which does not cover any of these things. I regret my decision to purchase pet insurance with this company.

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
