Fetch | Pet Insurance Review

Spoke with Jason, he was extremely helpful. Being a first time dog owner I was nervous about where to start with getting my dog insured. I called Fetch by The Dodo and spoke with Jason and he was excellent. Lincoln is insured and I couldn’t be happier. I recommend Fetch by The Dodo to all dog owners. I was recommended by friends of mine and they raved about how great they are.

I would 100% recommend this insurance company. I called Fetch (after speaking with several others) with a few questions before making a definitive decision on the company I would be using for my new puppy. My agent, Janelle, made things SUPER clear and easy. She helped me sort through and compare pricing and coverage to build the perfect policy within my budget. She made sure to tell me everything I would need to know: wait times, coverage, red tape, etc. I am so thankful to her and Fetch for helping me protect the future of my puppy (and my wallet)!

This company is terrible. They try to force you to filter all interactions through their app, which is extremely buggy and constantly freezes or crashes. I am unable to open my policy documents from the app, as I simply receive a "file corrupted" error. The live chat feature takes forever to get you to a real person and even then, their answers are clearly scripted and anything more complicated than a yes or no question will get you a "we'll have someone call you" response. Don't expect that call. They gave me the runaround on the phone about how to appeal a claim. They actively seek ways to turn down your claims and then are condescending about your "misunderstanding of policy coverage." I'd love to quote my coverage to them, but I can't open my documents from my app. Funny... They recently gave me a hard time about not taking my eight week old puppy to the vet in the 60 days prior to coverage, despite the fact that I did not own her until the policy started. I was penalized for being a proactive owner. Another interesting choice by this company. They also claimed a condition that was not seen until her adult teeth sprouted was "pre-existing" and refused to cover treatment, which was extremely expensive. When I attempted to gain more information about what they deem a "pre-existing condition," their own website gave me a "not found" error message after being redirected from the aforementioned buggy app. At this point, I have paid hundreds of dollars to a company that has given me zero dollars in return. I would never recommend this company to any owner and will never insure another pet of mine through them again. Hard pass. Save yourself the headaches!

I called in to get more detailed information before purchasing a policy online. Jason Myers was very efficient and very personable. He even saved me more money on the policy that I did purchase for my fur baby!
