Thank goodness for Fetch

Thank goodness for Fetch! I just got a new kitten and thankfully because of the deal Fetch has with North Shore Animal League the 15 day wait period was waived, because on exactly day 14 the kitten tried to make a jump that was too big and hurt his back leg and wouldn't put any pressure on it. After spending a weekend in and out of ERs (because of course I was away from home when it happened and had to go to a different ER once I got home that had a surgeon I needed) I had bills for thousands of dollars. Fetch did as promised and reimbursed 80% which was such a life saver! Only reason I didn't give five stars was because of their policy with curable recurring conditions. My kitten had a feline cold at the shelter that the shelter said was resolved. When I got home it was clear a week in that this wasn't actually the case so I went to a vet to get meds for the lingering cold. When I submitted that claim I found out it wasn't covered because of the policy and that it would have been better for me to never have submitted the claim at all informing them of the "second" cold because now instead of one year until a curable condition is covered again, it will be two years until its covered since he supposedly had a cold a second time, and that if he gets a third cold it will be considered incurable and never covered again. So it would have been better if I just never told them about the "second" cold at all so that he'd be covered for it again one year out instead of two.

Five Star Service

Our English Bulldog will be turning four this October. We've been with Fetch since he was a puppy. We love how they make the process of setting up a claim and updating account information. My husband and I don't like to call for customer service concerns and always use resources thru the websites and apps. We've filed several claims already and never once had to call about it. Love the app, the claim process, and of course the people behind those chats & emails. They are a great partner to raising our baby boy. Thank you for such great service!

Finally a compassionate employee

The process started off a lil rocky with the first rep I spoke to and I was going to cancel my subscription.Then I got Toni on the phone and she was amazing! She was knowledgeable and def showed that she cared about my situation and helped me with my claim from start to finish. She showed so much compassion and truly made me feel comfortable and calm about having my dogs dewclaws removed. Its nice talking to someone who actually likes their job and what they do for a living. Thank You again Toni for all your help You deserve a raise!!

A typical insurance company that wants to collect the premiums but not pay the claims

I feel you look for every opportunity not to pay a claim. You asked for ridiculous amount of information, you take too long to process, and too long to reimburse. You are a typical insurance company that wants to collect the premium but doesn’t want to pay the claims!

Monthly Cost

Plans average $35/month for dogs and $25 /month for cats

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80% or 90% after your deductible.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$250, $300 and $500

Age Limits

Fetch doesn’t enforce upper age limits, so you can enroll your pet any time after it turns six weeks old. Some providers limit coverage for older pets to accident-only. Fetch doesn’t limit coverage by age so that you can get the right care for your buddy, no matter what.

Waiting Period

Fetch’s waiting periods are up to 15 days for accidents and illnesses and six months for orthopedic events.

Exclusions

Fetch won’t cover pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, boarding costs, breeding costs, wellness care items, or accidents and illnesses that occur during waiting periods.
