I have had Fetch/Pet Plan for 3 years now. Few bumps at the beginning but overall they have been very good. We have 2 dogs with Fetch and will continue. Their prices can fluctuate year to year but not too drastic. Overall recommend this pet insurance
Claim was handled exactly as policy stated! I incurred about $4500 in hospital and vet bills when Camino got sick, and was promptly reimbursed per the terms of my policy, with no picking over items on the invoices. Camino is well now, and I would highly recommend Fetch Pet Insurance!
They have paid all claims. Support and sales are polite and well educated. If you are okay with the cost of dog health insurance, then this is a good company to go with. I did some digging, and the cost is similar across different insurance companies when you compare apples to apples. The one thing to keep in mind, and this is across all companies, is that whatever conditions were treated under one policy will become pre-conditions with a different underwriter. So effectively you are choosing an insurer for the duration as the other companies will not provide coverage for anything related to past claims which took place under a different one. Another lesser-known fact is that once you decrease the level of coverage you cannot increase it. So if you have unlimited 90% refund and change it to 10K 80%, you will not be able to go back. Additionally, premiums rise with veterinary costs and with the age of your pet. I'm told it is based on breed, dog's age, geographic area, and claims in that area (not the history of your particular dog). Fetch has discounts if you have no claims in the previous year, or in the previous 2 years. The discount is substantial. All companies, as far as I can tell are about the same regarding these things. We have had Fetch for 6-7 years for different pets.
Fetch honors the text of the insurance agreement in a timely and courteous fashion. Early in our coverage agreement I made a $1,500 claim. There was no hassle, no questions asked. They processed the claim in less than two weeks and deposited the money. I have made several claims over the first five month of adopting our puppy and Fetch has stood by the word of the contract without exception with every claim submission - and each was followed up with excellent communication until the claim was settled.
I am highly satisfied with Fetch.
