They Look for Any Reason to Deny

I have paid for Fetch insurance for a year and have never had a claim approved. As my puppy had "soft stool" in its vet notes from the first vet visit, no diarrhea-related illness, including that caused by worms, is covered. Further, while they say on their website that you only need vet notes from the most recent non-illness related check up, they reject your claim for having insufficient documents when you submit that just to have you resubmit. In short, their business plan is to obstruct by any means possible and never payout what is owed. Absolutely do not use Fetch Pet Insurance - there is a reason their reviews are removed from Google.

My dog was insured with Fetch since 2015

My dog was insured with Fetch since 2015 which was back then Petplan and Fetch took over sometime through the years. In 2023 I made my first claim for a dental procedure due to periodontal disease. Fetch made every possible way to deny my claim. For example, in 2020 it was during the pandemic when most vets are not taking in any annual exams only emergency cases. My claim was denied because my dog did not get an annual exam every year despite it was during a pandemic. They also never ask for me to submit the medical record in 2015 when I started the policy. However, right now they are saying I am unable to provide the medical record in 2015 therefore the claim is also denied. They are finding every excuse to deny my claim. If you want to be scammed by this company then continue insuring your pet with Fetch.

They don't honour claims

I got Fetch for my dog Gary and initially I was happy I did as he struggled with ear infections But the claim process requires too much information- your vet's medical notes - and is painfully slow Then after an eye infection we discovered Gary had allergies and it cost me $425 to find that out ! Fetch denied the claim. Said it was a pre-existing condition. If it was I didn't know. I love my dog so my concern was an eye infection At $300 a year and $30 per month ? And to deny an 80% of $425 claim after a month and a half ?? Cancel it And then they blackmail you with "now that this condition is known other pet insurance companies will penalize you " is amateurish Read their response to bad reviews and policy cancellations : do not give a damn I think all the positive reviews are planted : not real Paul Even their reply is lame

Monthly Cost

Plans average $35/month for dogs and $25 /month for cats

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80% or 90% after your deductible.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$250, $300 and $500

Age Limits

Fetch doesn’t enforce upper age limits, so you can enroll your pet any time after it turns six weeks old. Some providers limit coverage for older pets to accident-only. Fetch doesn’t limit coverage by age so that you can get the right care for your buddy, no matter what.

Waiting Period

Fetch’s waiting periods are up to 15 days for accidents and illnesses and six months for orthopedic events.

Exclusions

Fetch won’t cover pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, boarding costs, breeding costs, wellness care items, or accidents and illnesses that occur during waiting periods.
