Great coverage and timely payment

I recently had to spend ~$7000 for my sick cat, some from regular vet and some from specialist appointment. I had 90% of it reimbursed after $450 deductible. I'd be in a very difficult position if I didn't have insurance from Fetch.

Vet NOT recommended

My partner and I are both veterinarians and will never use fetch again nor recommend it to clients. Paid premiums for years (6.5k total) and have been declined coverage for our cat who developed diabetes this spring. Based on my experience working with insurance companies I believe fetch is the one that most consistently fights to not pay out legitimate claims - my other pets are insured with other companies. The absolute patronizing manner with which I was spoken to by Don is beyond unacceptable. Insurance companies like Fetch make my job more difficult as negative experiences with insurance companies will lead to less pet owners being covered and more instances of appropriate medical care being out of reach for uninsured pet owners. EDIT: After receiving a phone call to follow up with this review, was given the exact same non-sensical run around - pointless and a waste of time. The net result of our cat's insurance coverage? Thousands of dollars completely wasted. The implication in the response to this review that this could have been a pre-existing condition (unmanaged diabetic over 4 years?!) is medically ridiculous - he had full bloodwork panels and was completely asymptomatic prior to developing symptoms this year - just an excuse not to cover.

Insane rate increases

I had insurance for my pet with them for 5 years. 1 claim, 3 years ago. They increased my rate every single year, 15% last year and this year, they attempted to raise the rate 31%. Complete highway robbery and I cancelled immediately. They ought to be focused on increasing rates for those making claims and leave us pet owners who take care of our pets alone.

I've had insurance with them for 5…

I've had insurance with them for 5 years. I found out recently that they over charged me for 2 years as I called in to make an address change then. The person said they did it. Guess what they didn't. Now the company is saying they only approved 1 year of a refund but not the other. No one calls me back. I will NEVER insure a pet with them again. They are thieves!

Policy is tricky but,

Insurance policy is sometime tricky but the rep, Kelsey was very helpful and patient to understood my situations and explained clearly, I want to give her the big 5 stars!

Monthly Cost

Plans average $35/month for dogs and $25 /month for cats

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80% or 90% after your deductible.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$250, $300 and $500

Age Limits

Fetch doesn’t enforce upper age limits, so you can enroll your pet any time after it turns six weeks old. Some providers limit coverage for older pets to accident-only. Fetch doesn’t limit coverage by age so that you can get the right care for your buddy, no matter what.

Waiting Period

Fetch’s waiting periods are up to 15 days for accidents and illnesses and six months for orthopedic events.

Exclusions

Fetch won’t cover pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, boarding costs, breeding costs, wellness care items, or accidents and illnesses that occur during waiting periods.
