Fetch is amazing!!

I have a very accident prone lab who this year alone has cost me $10,000 in miscellaneous that bills. Fetch has been completely hassle free, has approved all of my submissions without question, and gives me peace of mind knowing I can get my dog, the proper care he needs, without worrying about the cost. I highly recommend fetch!!

Simple and straightforward process for claims

Submitting claims is super easy and the follow up communication until we received our reimbursement kept us updated with the process.

I wish I had shopped around more…

I wish I had shopped around more and read more reviews when choosing a pet insurance company for my puppy. When I joined, this was called Pet Plan. Maybe I joined right before the transition to fetch but there was no website to use, only an app that never worked. For about a year the app didn't work. Now it seems ok but its the hugest pain to submit a claim because they don't just accept the straightforward invoice that other companies want...no, no, no, this company wants you to send the vet notes and all of the documents from all of the previous visits before they take their sweet time to process the claim. I mean the longest processing time I've ever experienced. Oh and if you're in Canada, they can figure out how to take your money directly out of your bank account, but not how to deposit it there once you finally see some money back. So they mail you a cheque in the mail!! Also, every single year, my premiums have gone up about $10 per month!! So if you think you're getting a deal with the initial quote, think again!! I just got my renewal letter for the coming year. The premiums are going up to over $60/month when I've been paying $45 per month; this is AFTER I halved my coverage last year because the monthly payments keep going crazy high upon renewal. Don't forget, with these pet insurance companies, if your puppy ever gets something like an ear infection, good luck changing to another insurance company because that's called "pre-existing condition" and that will not be covered going forward. The other thing I'd like to mention here is the fact that one day I looked into my account and could see all of the personal information of another person! Names, addresses, phone number, all pet information and history and even some payment information. I immediately contacted Fetch and they acted like this total breach of private information was no big deal! I personally contacted the person to tell them what had happened and this company didn't even tell them it had happened! I take great issue with that and so should you. I feel stuck using them now since my pup has had a few claims. I think it would be better to take the money I'm paying in premiums and put it in an account for a day I might really need it for my pup instead. Funny how the company reached out to me after I left this honest review, but has never tried to resolve anything when I call them.

Skeptical to impressed!

We were skeptical expecting delays and endless submissions when we submitted our claim. However, we were surprised and extremely pleased with our claim process. Maple had an emergency visit to a new clinic after hours and 2 follow up visits with our regular Vet. We were reimbursed in less than 2 weeks with no hassles. I used the online chat twice for clarification. The second chat was heart warming as the agent was obviously a fellow pet lover. I left the chat feeling that the people behind Fetchpet truly cared about Maple’s welfare. Having Fetchpet has definitely given us peace of mind.
