Pre-existing scam - now resolved

Feeling completely scammed by Fetch right now. Our puppy had giardia when we adopted her from a rescue - before we had insurance. We got her treated and lab work confirmed it was resolved. Last week she was vomiting and the vet suspected an obstruction. Ordered x-rays which I felt confident approving because I thought I had insurance. Fetch just denied my claim because our dog had vomited in the last year. The two incidents having nothing to do with each other. I wish I was kidding. Vomiting in dogs happens all the time for so many possible reasons and is not a "condition". I'm going to find a better company who knows the actual definition of pre-existing condition. Updated: this is now resolved thanks to advocacy from my vet. If you're denied by Fetch, I recommend asking your vet to help. Not a great experience, but I did get reimbursed.

Poor customer service

I have had nothing but problems with this company. Prices go up every year. It has gone up 4x the amount and I have a healthy 4 year old dog. Finally decided to cancel and I feel SO relieved. This is after finding an unauthorized charge on my credit card. Fetch claims this was a seperate tax charge. Never in my life has any company charged seperately for taxes so I beleive this is a lie. My main issues are lack of responsiveness and slow communication. I've spent hours waiting for responses from agents that don't seem to know what's going on.

Terrible insurance company

Terrible insurance company. I started with fetch in July 2020 when I picked my dog at 6 months old. When my dog was 15 months, he was diagnosed with Lime disease. I was given medication for him but since the amount was only about $100 I didn’t submit a claim since my deductible was $300. In May 2023 my vet did more blood work and said he wants to do some tests to see what treatments my dog will need. So I submitted a pre approval to the insurance company. After asking for 2023, 2022 and 2021 medical records showing I did flea/tick prevention and he got his lime disease shots. They asked me for 2020 paperwork. I got him in 2020 from the breeder and the breeder did all the shots before I got him. The breeder also does not do random lime disease tests on a puppy, so I don’t have any 2020 medical records. So fetch denied me my claim. This insurance company is a scam and will find any excuse to deny a claim. Save your money not worth the 3 years I paid into this!

Very patient and helpful!

Bryonna was incredibly patient in answering all of our questions to ensure that we had the best value and important coverage for our dog Peach! Thank you for your kindness and expertise with great recommendations. All of our concerns were addressed very efficiently!

Monthly Cost

Plans average $35/month for dogs and $25 /month for cats

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80% or 90% after your deductible.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Age Limits

Fetch doesn’t enforce upper age limits, so you can enroll your pet any time after it turns six weeks old. Some providers limit coverage for older pets to accident-only. Fetch doesn’t limit coverage by age so that you can get the right care for your buddy, no matter what.

Fetch won’t cover pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, boarding costs, breeding costs, wellness care items, or accidents and illnesses that occur during waiting periods.
