Great Customer Service

I submitted a few claims recently for x-rays on our Bullmastiffs ACL and some other minor concerns. Our vet recommended we see an Orthopedic for a consultation. After that visit it was confirmed that our dog needed surgery. With the quote for surgery at $3,600, it was refreshing to know that the surgery would be covered. In less than a week I had a precertification of coverage for the surgery. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. When the vet bills pile up and future procedures are needed, it is nice to know that you have a great resource in the Embrace Team when you need them.

You and your cherished pet shoud embrace EMBRACE!

We're in year 2 of our policy and we're still amazed at how fast claims are made. The people at embrace are knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and caring. This is astounding with the growing number of customer "no" service companies that consumers are subjected to.

If Embrace sold people insurance, I'd have it.

I have had Embrace almost since we got our cat. I looked into other providers and the reviews were very mixed, if not downright bad. I wanted to be sure I wouldn't be spending money for a plan only to have the provider deny a claim for arbitrary reasons, which seemed to be the case for many of the other companies that I read about here. I happened upon Embrace and after reading pages of people praising their professionalism, speed of claims processing and high levels of customer service, I decided to go with Embrace. They are also part of Lloyd's of London and I was impressed by that. It was the BEST decision I have made regarding our cat. The first time I used them about two years ago, it was determined the upper respiratory infection she had was there when we purchased her, which we feel was accurate. Because of this, they denied the claim we made on that. They told me why and were sorry that they couldn't pay out on that claim. I was perturbed but it was completely legitimate denial of the claim because it was a pre-existing condition. I understood and went some time without a major claim. Recently, I found out my cat, who is only three at this point, was experiencing chronic renal disease, as if she was a cat three times her age. Well, after everything was said and done, I sent off the necessary forms that were given to me by the vet's office and they processed them and paid me 80% of the nearly $1,000 claim. That's what was expected and outlined in my policy.

Pleasant

Nice people to work with. Unfortunately, I've had to submit several claims for my 6 month old. I'm so glad I got this insurance. The people that I've dealt with have been very pleasant and returned my emails in a timely manner.

a valuable safety net

My dog is only four, so I couldn't have imagined that she has an autoimmune disorder. It nearly killed her over the holidays, and I had to face the choice that many pet owners dread. Because the onset happened Thanksgiving, and because she was so critical, I had to take her to the emergency center, which cost more than $5,000. Thankfully, she's stable now. And her policy deductible had been paid earlier in the year; so Embrace covered approximately 90% of the bill. What a relief!! Especially around the holidays. To top it off, the customer service is consistently good. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with their reps, who genuinely seem to care about the pet and making sure your claim gets processed. I highly recommend Embrace (and have already to my friends).

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
