Very Bad Experience with Embrace

Our two pomeranians have had embrace as their insurance provider for the past 3 years or now but boy are we regretting it. After faithfully paying out a considerable # of claims for us, Embrace has decided to CHANGE THE RULES in terms of their amount of reimbursement. Our two dogs need laser treatments for the continued ailments, and instead of providing us with full/almost full coverage (as they used to provide) of said laser treatments , they are now paying us a maximum of $50 (for a $200+ treatment). They have also decided that a recent injection (an antibiotic) for one of our dogs was "overpriced" by the Vet, and they refunded us $25 instead of the $150 the injection cost us. So ALL OF A SUDDEN, Embrace has switched what was their routine procedures/reimbursements with us, to their liking. We don't know what other provider we will switch to, but I can tell you from our experience Embrace is becoming more and more unethical. STAY AWAY from Embrace.

The Appeal Process works!!

My Great Dane puppy was seen by the vet for a swollen ankle and an ear infection was a secondary diagnosis. On the claim form, the vet's office wrote ear infection/infection/injury, which was denied intially by Embrace due to my puppy's pre-existing ear infections. This bill was over $1000 for x-rays, labs, and medications. I submitted an appeal via email and had a letter sent by my vet's office explaining my puppy's condition and with in 2 weeks Embrace agreed to pay a portion of the bill ($150) but this was after my $500 deductible. The portion of the bill was for the ankle injury....not the pre-existing ear infections. So my lesson learned is....pay attention to the vet's diagnosis and make sure it is clear what your dog was actually treated for. The claims and appeal process was much easier than I thought it would be.

Fantastic turn around

Besides the great coverage, what makes the process so easy is how quickly Embrace gets back to me. When I have the vet fax in my claim, I hear from the claims department within the week and am reimbursed the following week. We had a very expensive ear infection and I was very pleased with my coverage.

A company that keeps you posted and pays promptly.

Great customer service. Prompt review of claims and speedy payment. I Took out pet health insurance upon the recommendation of my vet. This decision has saved me hundreds of dollars on vet care for my very active and mouthy young pup. Embrace has lived up to their claims. This insurance policy was well worth the investment. Thanks.

Embrace Works for Us

I signed my newly adopted rescue with Embrace and took her to the vet for her annual checkup. Embrace was exceptionally helpful in keeping me informed on what benefits I have and how to get the most from my plans. I renewed without hesitation. After the first year, my dog Allie's gagging after drinking water became more often and severe so after numerous vet visits and tests, we took her to the specialist at the Veterinary Referral Hospital.
