Our dog died and Embrace was there for us
My family just went through every dog lover's worst nightmare, and Embrace was there for us. Our beloved 22-month old Labrador, Siska, got sick out of the blue and within a few days had to be euthanized because of liver failure. We ultimately learned it was cancer (lymphoma); there were no prior warning signs. We were shocked and devastated. And the vet bills, triggered by our regular vet and emergency specialists frantically trying to save Siska from what at the time was an unknown cause, were astronomical. Embrace was there for us at every step, both in terms of sympathy and financial coverage. We received kind, thoughtful e-mails and handwritten cards in the mail from multiple Embrace personnel. The multiple claims were processed promptly, and checks for 80% of the total cost (thousands of dollars) minus the deductible, sent just as promptly. Embrace also immediately cancelled our future insurance coverage and reimbursed us the pro rata portion of the annual premium that we no longer needed. There were no hassles or delays. We received the coverage we were promised. And Embrace handled the entire situation with a sense of grace and responsibility that was all we could have asked for in our emotionally fragile state. My family, unfortunately, is living proof that unexpected health disasters can strike even young dogs.
