OVERALL GREAT PET INS

Since rescuing my kitten at 8 weeks she has been in and out of the vet with granuloma / dermatitis skin condition and other things kittens go through there 1-2,years. Embrace has been great with handling/processing claims. I had to file so many claims in less than 2 yrs and never had a problem. I always get an email on the status of the claim and if I ever had a question of any sorts I always get through to a speak to a representative. I believe the coverage is great in comparison to other companies and the monthly fee for the insurance is very reasonable for my lovable Tallulah. I intend to stay w/ Embrace

Life Saver

Embrace Pet Insurance is a life saver, we invested about $550 into the medical/wellness for our puppy and so far in 4 months Embrace has paid out as much as we invested. I'm certain that we will exceed the return on our investment over the full year. I will be re-purchasing when our policy expires. Our pup has constant ear infections, we adopted her 5 months ago and she's had at least 6 ear infections since. Without this policy, between that and her spaying, we would never have been able to get her the quality healthcare that she needed. She's also being tested for allergies to see if there's something we can do to prevent further problems. I rated the company at a 9 because the processing time for claims can be quite lengthy, especially when additional information is needed and the vet's office says that never received the request (who knows where the ball was dropped) resulting in ever longer processing times. If I were notified then I could proactively get the information from the vet, fax/e-mail it to Embrace, and get the ball rolling sooner. Claim amount is for overall use year to date, same for type of claim and I averaged the time to handle claim.

Money well spent.

My golden retriever unexpectedly started urinating blood, took him to the vet and ultra sound was performed. A large tumor was located on his right kidney. He had surgery the next day removing the kidney. I submitted the claim to Embrace and within days had a check in the mail. He is not out of the woods yet, he starts chemo this week. It is difficult going through this as we think of them as our kids, but Embrace lessens the pain by always being compassionate and on the spot with paying the claim(s).It may cost a little up front but well worth it when needed. Thank you Embrace

They Asked for it.

First let me state we are keeping Embrace, but they asked for the review so here it is. Our dog has a chronic gastric condition typical of the breed. Our Vet decided that it was medically necessary to have his stomach tacked (gastoplexey) to prevent torsion from bloat, usually a fatal condition. We submitted a pre-certification to Embrace which was approved, had the surgery and submitted the claim---WHICH WAS DENIED! How do you deny a pre-authorized claim???? After the requisite indignation on our part, to their credit they honored their pre-approval and paid the claim. Embrace never did inform us what the issue was---did the pre-auth person screw up or did the claims agent? The way their note to us saying the'll honor the claim was written seemed to indicate that it should not have been approved to begin with since it was "preventative" even though the Vet said it was medically necessary to potentially prevent his death from bloat. So in the end it worked out but the stress we were put through, for the albeit only for a day, worrying about the vet bill was upsetting. I will give them high kudos for honoring their pre-certification, but they should have seen it internally and we should never have been the wiser--the actual submitted claim should just have been paid. Otherwise, we really like the comfort of having pet insurance on our dearly loved pet. P.S.: They do take a long time to process claims, and some glitch in their email notification system did't notify us of the claim status. I logged in wondering what was taking to long and found the 16+ days old denial--so this added to the stress because appeals have to be filed within 14 days. Epic fail administratively.

Still Good After all these Years!

I had Embrace for my previous Golden who died much too young from cancer. Embrace was there as we went through chemo treatments and check-ups and never once rejected a claim. Unfortunately she didn't make it but not having to fight with the insurance company was a much needed blessing in our time of sorrow. But because of the love of our previous golden, we did get another one and I did not think twice about which insurance company I would get. Embrace wins hands down, for its price, for its coverage and for its personal e-mails. I even got a sympathy card from them. Their coverage is easy to understand without all these hidden codes of what is covered and what is not. Check them out, you will be amazed. Thank you, Embrace for being there.
