They do what they say they will and with a smile!

We adopted Honey DeLune in January 2011 at a "mega-adoption" event in CT. She was from a Georgia shelter and tested HW negative at the time of adoption. When she was tested again in January 2012 at her annual exam, she came back positive, even though we had been religious about giving her HW preventative and live in an area where HW is not common. Since HW can take up to 6 months to show up on tests, we believe she was infected right before coming to live with us. Regardless, we wanted to get Honey treated asap to prevent damage to her lungs/heart. The fast-kill treatment cost with our vet was fair, but not cheap - close to $600. In addition, the treatment was very inconvenient for Honey because her activity had to be heavily limited for 8 weeks and she is so playful and athletic. This claim took much longer (maybe 8 weeks?) to be processed than others we have filed with Embrace, but I owe that to the fact that Embrace does their homework to ensure that the claim is legitimate and that they pay for all that they should. I appreciate this because fraudulent claims will make the rates go up for everyone, and those of us who do play by the rules will come out with what we deserve anyway. After providing the necessary documentation and performing the necessary invesitgations, Embrace covered everything they said they would and helped us stay focused on doing what was best and right for Honey. Excellent Service so far

I researched pet insurance quite thoroughly, and while I concluded that Embrace is a very good value, what sold me on it was all the consumer reviews about how good the service is. After having worked for many years in conjunction with the insurance industry, I know that lack of good service and claims representatives who don't care about doing the right thing can end up making a policy worthless. So far, the service of everyone at Embrace has not disappointed. Communication has been great and responses have been prompt. A plus is that it seems like everyone genuinely cares. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Consistently great service

During the last 3 years, I have had consistently great service with Embrace. My claims have been processed in a timely manner and there are no hidden surprises! We are very satisfied and have recently insured our new puppy with Embrace!

Awesome Service with every claim!

I have 6 pets currently Embraced. This year, my 1yo was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and required a total hip replacement. Embrace was with us every step of the way, from the pre-certification (not required) to the initial surgery to the post surgical check-ups, and then when he was diagnosed with a lick granuloma after that! (Still working on healing from that.) Each claim was acknowledged, and processed quickly, and my reimbursements deposited to a speedy manner. With the last claim, there was a questionable covered charge that was initially coded as a wellness cost, but when I asked them to look into it they did so quickly and and covered it as it should have been with no issues. They are always very helpful and I recommend Embrace to everyone! Fabulous folks!

Excellent customer service

I have found EMBRACE to have friendly, responsive customer service. In fact, they are PROactive, which is extremely unusual--at least for human insurance companies! I have appreciated their "Keep in touch" approach, even when claims are processed a bit more slowly than they expect or would wish. In fact, the lag time was not bad at all. Great service!

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
