I am not totally pleased

I am not totally happy with this insurance. I pay more out of pocket than I get in return. My claims are always not covered or go towards the deductible. I feel like I am just paying to say I have insurance but my insurance is not working for me. I am not happy that the individuals answering the emails get my two pets confused. I'll submit a claim for one dog and they are referencing my other dog.

Easy claims processing

We purchased Embrace pet insurance for our new puppy. We got the Wellness Rewards benefit as well. It has been a very easy process to get reimbursed for well puppy visits, flea medication, etc. We email the claim and the check is sent to us very quickly. We get $400 dollars worth of wellness rewards for only $300. A bonus of $100 dollars per year is great. We also have peace of mind that if anything happens to our puppy we are covered. We are very pleased.

Embrace is a phenomenal company.

I have been a customer of Embrace going on three years now and have never experienced a problem. They have handled all my claims and reimbuirsements quickly, efficiently and most importantly they have top notch customer service. Whenever I have a question I can call them and get through instantly to speak with a representative. Embrace is a doggy-saver!!

Our 3 year old Siberian Husky Zephyr woke my husband in the middle of the night and I heard a yell, "Come quick! Something's wrong!" There was a small pool of blood outside Zephyr's kennel as he had managed to neatly expel everything OUTSIDE his large kennel. However, it was dark red and smelled horrible. After cleaning up and trying to deodorize, I opened the patio door to let Zephyr back in the house only to see a few more puddles outside. While I thought I would wait until morning - avoiding after hours charges & trying to get a few more hours of sleep - things did not appear to be settling down. So I decided to take Zephyr to the local VCA Animal hospital - the best in the state & nationally acclaimed - knowing they would get to the bottom of this probably more efficiently than our local vet. It wasn't until I was paused at a stop light at 3:30am that I remembered we had Embrace pet insurance. Whew!! Now I was really happy I made the choice to go. Upon getting to the hospital, we were seen immediately. Poor Zephyr was almost non-responsive and look very sad. The vet thought we should run a basic panel to start eliminating what might be the cause. Meanwhile, Zpehyr had lost so much fluid and blood, the decided it best to hook him up to IVs and get him hydrated. After tests came back negative, they suggested running an ultrasound to check for the possibility of an internal blockage. Now it was 7am. kc has a cronic irratible stomach issue for years and embrace has been great in handling claims and corresponding on claims status----plus they pay !

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
