Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I am extremely happy with Embrace! Coverage is great and also the communication with the staff. They'll let you know about the progress of the claim promptly. My pug had bad allergies (turns out to plastic)and because a mistake made by my vet office my claim was denied, but after I contacted the vet office and the mistake was straightened out, Embrace re opened the case and covered most of the cost. I have recommended them to other pet owners at my vet waiting room!

When my pug Tina was diagnosed with lung lobe torsion I was devastated. I hated the idea that my poor girl would have to be opened up and have part of her lung removed. She is only 11 months old! The surgery was $4000+ and boy was I glad that I had bought her insurance when I did. Embrace covered the full 80% that I had selected when I created my policy and I was also glad I had selected to have prescriptions covered too! Never in a million years did I think I would need to use the insurance so quickly after purchasing it. I needed to make this large claim just a month after buying the policy. I'm grateful I had the foresight to buy insurance and also that Embrace has been so pleasant to deal with. I had called them around the day of the surgery to see what my policy covered because I was so distraught I could barely navigate their website or any website for that matter. Their staff on the phone was SO KIND and sympathetic and I truly felt like they were GLAD that I had coverage for her which I have NEVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE WITH AN INSURANCE COMPANY!!! They are truly a great company with kind employees. The communication is outstanding. A+ all around.

I was blindsided by my poor pup's illness. Just one morning she was acting so lethargic and unlike her normal puppy self. I rushed her to the vet and then it was just an avalanche of expenses. X-Rays, Sonograms, Meds, Nebulizer treatments, etc. etc. In the moment, you don't care. You just want your puppy to be OK. When the bill was generated after a 2 night hospital stay, it was daunting to say the least. Embrace's terms are simple and easy to understand. My calculation of what I would be reimbursed matched their payment to the penny. No surprises. I'm so glad I did my research when choosing the best insurance company for my sweet pup.

There are many scam pet insurance companies that gladly take your premium but will find any way possible to avoid paying claims. So when I decided to look into the possibility of getting pet insurance, I was very careful and I did quite a bit of research. In my research, it was Embrace that consistently came up with the best reviews both by policyholders but also by independent reviewers. I also really liked the variety of plans and that they pay claims based on the cost of the vet bill instead of "reasonable and customary" charges. I took the leap and decided to try Embrace. I have loved them from the start. They are always nice and friendly. Then my cat developed a blockage and when I needed Embrace most, they were there for me on the phone. I even called after hours while rushing my cat to the vet and they answered and helped me even though it was time for that particular person to go home. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was wonderful and assured me that Embrace would be there for me. After all the medical bills, I waited a bit worried wondering if Embrace would be like so many typical pet insurance companies and try to get out of the claim. Embrace stayed in touch with me while the claim was being reviewed to let me know that they were looking at it - even though they had not reached their estimated turn-around time, they still stayed in touch with me (without me prompting) to make sure that I knew they were working on it.
