After a sudden illness we took our 2-year-old dog to a well known emergency pet hospital. They treated her very well and kept us informed every step of the way. However, they had to conduct several test to determine and narrow down exactly what was wrong with her… at a time like that, you can’t pick-and-choose what tests you want and what you don’t if they are telling you what she needs, so we went along with the expertise of the hospital. At the end of a long day we had a groggy pup, and a bill that was over $900. Come to find out, she was suddenly affected by an ailment in which the immune system suddenly attacks the joint tissue in the extremities making it hard to walk and causes pain (there is a fancy medical term for it). Luckily a round of medication cured her, and now, in less than a month she is back to a playful, happy, pup. Embrace was so helpful. There is always a live person on the phone who is knowledgeable and ready to help. I believe they are in this business because they truly care about animals. When I went back to the vet to pick-up the dog’s medication I asked if he would fill out the Embrace claim form, which he did. I had my receipts and faxed it all in to Embrace. Embrace followed up with the hospital within days to request additional records. I received updated emails to inform me as to where my claim was in the process. I had a response regarding my expected refunds in less than two weeks, and Embrace had honored their policy in full. The

Excellent experience with claims
It was so easy dealing with my first claim with Embrace. This our first dog and many people told me how skeptical they were about pet insurance, but we have already paid for our insurance with one claim. They were great about analyzing the charges and having an explanation. Very nice experience, I would recommend Embrace to any pet owner.

They do what they say they will do.
So far we have been plesantly surprised that what Embrace stated they would pay after deductable was met is exactly what they did pay. So may friends have pet insurance and they have horror stories, we can say that has not been the case with Embrace. We have already informed a number of people we do our dog training with that we are very pleased with your cover.

what a relief
I can't tell you how grateful I am to have Embrace Pet Insurance. My 18 month old golden has had to have P.T. and Embrace was with me all the way. I can sleep at night because I have Embrace!

Properly cared for dog
I was warned that white dogs, particularly white boxers could be medical nightmares, particularly throughout puppyhood. Well, Shane is 17 days away from turning 1 and he's had: coccidia, giardia, a rash, and ear infection, an eye infection, enteritis, an abscess on his foot, preputial discharge and 2 weeks ago he decided he wasn't strong enough to do anything but lay down. This lasted 4 days with minor, gradual improvements from day to day but it scared the daylights out of me and he ended up getting 2 rounds of blood work done. The first labs came back very poor and I was sent to Animal Medical Center for a more thorough checkup. Well, by the time we got to AMC Shane was asymptomatic but they ran the 2nd round of blood tests and they were a little better, but still inconclusive. What was conclusive was that he has a heart murmur that I should get a baseline test for and watch as he ages. (Not uncommon in boxers.) All this being said, I'm not sure what I'd do without Embrace. There are a couple things I looked for when comparing the various insurance companies: 1. Exam fee is covered and 2. NOT a per incident deductible. That disqualified 98% of the other companies. I was left with 2 and Embrace had a higher cap on hip dysplasia (which boxers are prone to), so Embrace won .. not to mention Christopher's incredible customer service and knowledge about not just Embrace's policies, but their competitor's policies. You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
